We love this little pub. Plenty of parking set in a lovely location with amazing views. It has a cozy feel with open fires (not sure if real fires) staff are welcoming. The best part is definatly the food. There's a great choice all reasonably priced and we have never had a bad meal. Real home made public food. You... More

Best fish and chips around. Been to Cherry Tree quite a few times and has never disappointed. Nice pub in a nice location. Highly recommended.

All this fuss and talk about it being shabby and well worn furniture. It is what it is a country pub. We called here for dinner last Thursday tea time at 5.30pm and had not been for years not realising service did not start until 6pm. We took a table in the restaurant with only two other people in the... More

Came here with my mum always used to come here around 10 years ago. As we walked in the smell of old fat hit me and my mum it smelt awful. Also the tables were all greasy and didn't look like they had been wiped. The whole place looked like it could have done with a good clean and tidy... More

Arrived on a cold but sunny afternoon in December with my son. Ordered my favourite beer (Elland) and some food. The service was friendly, the food was really good and value for money. I personally think this pub sometimes gets bad reviews because it looks old and tired inside, but this is exactly what I like in a pub. Proper old... More

We've visited this pub numerous times over the years, and today was our latest visit. It really needs a good revamp, as it is looking quite tired on the exterior and interior. A lot of the chair upholstery is very worn, and looks terrible. The landlord isn't very friendly, but the staff were. The food was decent, and very reasonably... More

Had visited regularly several years ago when it WAS good. Stopped when kitchen staff changes saw a decline in standards. Had been told locally that it wasn't bad now so we chose it for an evening meal with family from Lancaster. "Yorkshires best" it wasn't on this occasion. Staff in a huddle behind the bar ignored us on arrival sorting... More

We were a group of Geocachers attending an annual Christmas Corroboree and this year it was here at the Cherry Tree Inn. It is 5 years since we were here last. We had some good beer choices and the Ellend Blonde was our favourite. For lunchtime starters I had the soup which was a tomato based vegetable soup. It was... More

We go here regularly, especially on a Friday when they serve a Friday fish special, which is delicious and very good value. It is a very welcoming and cosy pub, OK maybe a little curled up at the edges but very comfortable, especially if you are accompanied by a four legged friend! The range and quality of pub grub is...
