I attempted to visit the tearoom today to meet with my Mum who was already eating there. As a mum to a young baby I had my son in his pram and by the time I got to the tearoom he was ready for a feed. After wrestling a crying baby and a pram up the step to the tearoom,... More

I'm a regular visitor here with my friends here for a number of years as the prices are spot on and the service is always friendly. If you're looking for an affordable cup of tea, coffee, breakfast sandwich or salad, you'll have no complaints coming here. I also defy you to find anywhere else that offers christmas pudding flavoured milk... More

Called in today and had an afternoon tea which was lovely. £10.95 gets you either a pot of tea or a coffee, a choice of sandwich (4 triangles), a scone with lots of jam and cream plus 2 other cakes. I was too full to eat everything but this wasn't a problem as the friendly staff boxed up what was... More

Had a lovely, homemade afternoon tea here. Deep filled, freshly cut sandwiches, lovely cake selection, and we took home what we couldn't eat! Good value for money and great service. Will certainly go again.

Visited the tearooms for the first time yesterday. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the tearoom was very busy. I had a jacket potato with prawns which was delicious and my partner had a hot beef baguette. He tells me he was a little disappointed with the baguette as it was not crispy and didn't come with onion gravy... More

Visit this tea room regularly whilst doing my weekly shop in Barnsley town centre. Homemade meat & potato pie, homemade steak pie with mushy peas, great homemade cakes, tried them all and never had a bad meal yet. They also do great sandwiches, which I have had in the past. Coffee is a good quality coffee and not bitter or... More

I visited Victorian tea rooms recently with my friend, our little treat! We had hot chocolate and "an enormous, beautiful" homemade cake. It's such a pity it's tucked out of the way, if you don't know it's there you probably wouldn't stumble upon it by chance due to its location. It is such a pleasant and traditional little cafe set...
