We had a family meal here. The restaurant was very busy and did look a little dirty with food on the floor, but I think this is because it was a busy Saturday. The food was fine and what you would expect from a Toby Carvery. There is not much of a seating area in the pub for people waiting... More

It was very quiet 6.30 Friday 1st aprill. All the food had obviously been standing a long time under heat. Roast potato was rock hard.potato was horrible likewise carrots, Of the meat only the Turkey looked presentable. 4 in our party only 1 cleaned his plate. Other 3 left half finished. One in our party had a choking fit and... More

Been here many many times over the years but service and food never consistent. Food good this time (carvery) but very abrupt waitress and bar staff. Bought refillable drinks but as we came out of the restaurant they had shut the drinks machine down & we were told although it doesn't say it anywhere this machine closes at a certain... More

Decided to visit here at 6 ish on a Monday to use a voucher I had for 2 courses for £6.50. We were immediately shown to a table and the guy took our drinks order. Told to go up the carvery to get dinner. There was no-one waiting and no-one behind to serve us. There was a choice of 3... More

I have eaten here a few times but today was a nanas birthday meal for 8 people. Had a two course meal. The usual carvery consisted of Turkey, beef, pork, gammon and beef. The turkey was very juicy. I also had roast potatoes, mashed potatoes, carrots, cauliflower cheese, Yorkshire pudding and gravy. All piping hot and tasted good. Satisfying without... More

This evening out was planned as a meeting for Facebook friends! The place was easy to find, had good parking and the staff were friendly and helpful.while the menu was not very extensive, the carvery was good and excellent value at only £5.99, and there were also offers available. We did not feel rushed after the meal, despite the fact... More
