Went here on a Wednesday lunchtime with my husband and grandson. We decided that we would all have a carvery. The meats were turkey, gammon and lamb which were all tasty but the selection of vegetables was not as varied as you would have expected. There was only mash and roast potatoes and no plain boiled ones or sliced potatoes... More

OMG, this is probably the worst Sunday meal, no just any meal out I've had for a very very long time. The meats were dry, the Yorkshire's looked like supermarket value product. The cauliflower cheese was cheese less. Carrots, parsnips were dried out. Potatoes were old potatoes and the gravy was tasteless, peas were OK to be fair. Having said... More

Poor....has so much potential. Football pub full of drunks and bad language !! Carvery okay....should not have to sit and hear staff shouting , swearing and being totally unprofessional with each other. Needs to change !!

Nice big place with a carvery or basic traditional menu on offer. For the size of the place it did make me chuckle when the staff mentioned they've run out of glasses as they only have one glass washing machine. Anyway, food was OK, my scampi was massively over cooked, but it was a 'busier than expected day' as mentioned... More

Had a really enjoyable meal here this week. Got there around 5-ish on Monday evening and were well looked-after. The food was good - hot, well cooked, the beef and turkey gorgeous! Our server (Corinne) was very efficient and helpful, as was the Chef. The Restaurant was clean, service good. Will definitely be eating here again on our next visit... More

We have been using Washford Mill for years, but this was our first visit for a while. It is a an lovely setting, and the outdoor eating area is very pleasant. The vegetables on the carvery were fresh and varied, but the quantity of meat was stingy to say the least, and the request for a vegetarian carvery was not... More

A nostalgic trip to a haunt that was once a very special place. Now sadly looking like it needed a major injection of cash and a good manager. The service was poor, food after waiting for the chef,we were treated to the culinary delight of thinly sliced meat, dry undercooked veg and a sausage that had been on a strict diet. Interestingly the... More

Don't be fooled by the huge 'Carvery £5.95' signs outside, small print underneath states Monday to Saturday, its £8.95 on Sundays. I have not eaten there for a long while but its not going to be high on my list. Meats were fine, All veg looked like it had been cooking since breakfast time and was colourless and mushy. Gravy... We used to come here in the 70s and 80s when it was THE place to come. Always packed/ Good food and good beer. Quirky water mill in the centre of the pub (working). Went back for a family get together and to celebrate my wife's birthday. What a disappointment! Food was mediocre, staff couldn't give a toss for service... More

The old water mill on the river Arrow has been converted into a modern pub and restaurant serving quality food in a relaxed and friendly environment. We are proud to serve a Great British Carvery with a daily selection of Red Tractor assured meats and fresh, seasonal vegetables.

Join us in our delightful informal restaurant for a delicious daily carvery or choose from our superb menu. Alternatively just pop into our riverside bar and terrace to enjoy a local ale with friend
