We have stopped here several times for a drink. The Staff are friendly and helpful. This is a dog friendly pub so suits us no end. This weekend we stopped with friends for a swift one, and to be honest outside was packed. Several people where waiting for food and we picked up that there was a wait just be... More

Visited with a party of six whilst staying at the Camping and Caravanning Club site in the village. There is lots of space for eating with a choice of rooms inside or outside - but the beer garden at the back was very poor, very shady with shabby tables and chairs. Menu fairly comprehensive - and not just the usual... More

I was served a pale bowl of mushy spuds and 6 cannellini beans with a few strips of pale cabbage. It was described as Tuscan bean stew, served with a salad and garlic bread. I sent it back, and ate the garlic bread. I was asked if l wanted something else but my husband was already halfway thru his meal... More

Food was very good. I had the Cock and Bull- Cajun chicken and Steak. My wife had the seabass. Its an old pub but clean and tidy. The service was good, though it was a quiet Wednesday. Worth a try. Good value

We got the impression from other reviews that this pub had a proper seating area. In fact it is one of those pubs that is a PUB and has just added food as an extra to get people in. There is no dining room - just a lounge so you have to eat at low tables and end up with... More

We called in on Good Friday at about 5pm and were told they started serving food from the main menu at 5.30, although food from another menu was available earlier. We decided to wait, enjoyed our drink and placed an order just before 5.30. It took 55 minutes for the food to arrive - I appreciate it was freshly cooked,... More

Like similar reviews here - we visited tonight specifically to see a brilliant blues band. Thought we'd make a night of it and eat here beforehand. We had booked and arrived at 8, ordered straight away but didn't get our food much before 9!!! It was just a steak and fish and chips - nothing complicated!! We felt rushed to... More

We were there on Friday 12th Feb. Good atmosphere and food. I would recommend anyone to pay a visit. Easy parking . We went to see a local band.
