We spent a fortnight near Marlborough and The Roebuck became our favourite pub. We enjoyed an excellent Sunday lunch and the mid week menu didn't disappoint. I can highly reccomend the fish pie, best I've ever eaten. Very friendly and well worth a visit.

4 of us plus dog lunched here last Saturday. We found a pleasant spot outside and confirmed our reservation. Helpful waitress speedily took drink orders. Draft Cornish cider was tasty. Good selection of hot food. The cod and chips was enormous. The fish pie was...chock full of fish. The Beef pie delicious. Our vegetarian was happy too. The Covid arrangements in place seemed very efficient with a one way system to reach the toilets. Will we be back? Definitely. We live a county away so we are unlikely to be frequent visitors but Marlborough is on a route we use regularly so we will pop in when we are in the Town.More

We had lunch here with friends this week and were pleased with our choice of venue. The staff were very attentive and the menu choices were varied and good. I had a Greek salad as a starter followed by ‘catch of the day’ - Sea...Bream. My husband had soup of the day and steak and kidney pie - all delicious! Thank you to all at the Roebuck Inn - keep up the good work!More

On Saturday 29th August I tried to book a table only to be told there were non available! Odd really as there was only 3 couples in at the time (around 6pm) and further I wasn’t even asked what time I wanted to book for....However I accepted this and left. Later I called to see if they had a table for the next day (Sunday) to which I was offered a table and a time of 7pm. Lunchtime Sunday I receive a phone call saying the booking is cancelled as they don’t serve food after 5pm on a Sunday!! So beware if you want to be sure of a table as you might be disappointed.More

It had been a while since we last visited the Roebuck, we were pleasantly surprised. The quality of the food was excellent as was the ale. Will definitely be back.

Not from the area, from up north. Excellent service, the food was also excellent. Large portions, right up my street, I had chicken pie, the wife had Thai curry, both meals were very good.

Out for a bit of lunch to meet up with family. The restaurant was nice and clean. Fairly busy but not uncomfortable . Staff were really nice. Food was really nice - we had a burger and the cod with chips. Plenty there and tasty....Couldn’t fault it.More

First meal out after lockdown was a big success. Lovely staff, great food, nice atmosphere, good portions, high value, decent quality and now COVID safe with good one way system.

Just had a takeaway from The Roebuck... food was amazing, ready on time and still hot when I got home. With everything going on was lovely to see this local pub was still very busy with takeaway order.. good luck Gary & Gill

Lovely pub with a quirky layout. Great atmosphere with locals, and their dogs greeted by name. Sunday lunch menu was limited - three roasts, two fish options - so the long wait for our food was surprising. However, it was well worth it! Pub roasts...are, more often than not, dry and heated up by copious amounts of gravy. This was fresh, piping hot throughout and the roast beef perfectly pink. Well worth the wait.More

Dogs are welcomed anywhere inside, there were no restrictions. In fact this has to be one of the most dog friendly pubs we have been in.
