Quaint country pub with lovely food!

I've visited here a couple of times on returning from work trips. The pub itself is gorgeous and very homely. The food had always been fantastic but is a little overpriced, although I believe it is all locally sourced. On one occasion, the pub was particularly busy and we did have to wait almost an... read more

My group of three friends and I visited We ordered drinks and took our seats, but there was a strong smell of urine in the bar area. We mentioned this to the bar staff, who looked at us as though we were all imagining it! They did nothing to address the smell, so we hurried to finish our drinks, and... More

Owned by the hotel we were staying at this is a wonderful, cosy Cotswolds pub. We turned up at 1.30pm on a Sunday without a reservation and they did everything to accommodate us. Very friendly and good grub!

We chose the Potting Shed to take a new American member of our family. When we rang they said they could only accommodate 3 for the time we wanted. There were 4 of us but we booked anyway. On arrival we were shown to a table for 4 by a friendly waitress. The atmosphere is pleasant and the surroundings interesting.... More

Great food, ordered the duck which was melt in the mouth tender, staff very helpful in regards moving our table to accommodate a pushchair. When we are in the Cotswolds again will definitely visit.

My husband and I went for Sunday lunch yesterday. We were seated in an area to the .left of the bar beside a little stove. We asked three times for logs to be put on as it was absolutely freezing. Upon our third request when the logs had burned down to nothing a waitress came along and added a huge... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to The Potting Shed and will certainly return again this year. The menu had some character with some unusual variations of typical gastro-pub meals. We found the food, wine, beer and service to all be 5*. If I lived any nearer then I'd happily work my way through the menu!

As soon as you walk in you feel a comforting warm, friendly and relaxing atmosphere. Staff were very helpful - especially when choosing one of their many gins and cocktails. The Beetroot, Walnut and Blue Cheese Salad was exceptional. The Wild Boar and Smoked Applewood Burger was meaty and tasty and who can resist their 'triple' cooked chips! Roasted Cauliflower... More

The staff were very friendly and the pub itself very cosy but the the food was most disappointing. My husband had a burger which had no flavour to it whatsoever and not even our dog wanted to eat his triple cooked chips! At £18 a pop we expected something special. A shame as we had been recommended this pub. Perhaps... More
