This place is very special and I can absolutely see why it has a Michelin star. The royal treatment from start to finish and food to die for. The sommelier was absolutely charming as well as extremist knowledgable. All in all a fabulous evening

Not sure why they have got a Michelin star. Beetroot starter was pretty basic and roast pork main was similar to the fare you get in a good pub...the surroundings are lovely and service attentive. Price very good..£35 for 3 course lunch.

Absolutely wonderful food, atmosphere and service. We had the 3 course menu and could not fault anything we ate. I had Mackerel to start and my husband had duck egg. I had halibut which was cooked to perfection as was the venison which my husband had. For dessert I had Yorkshire rhubarb and had blackberry cheesecake. We finished with coffee... More

We were staying in the hotel and loved the exceptional cuisine - well worth the Michelin star. We enjoyed a drink in the bar with canapes and then a delicious 3 course meal. The partridge was particularly memorable. Reasonably busy for a Saturday in early January we had hoped to eat before 8 but could only be offered a table... More

Treated my husband to a meal at the Bybrook for his birthday. We had an amazing night- food was easily the best meal we have ever had- tasting menu with wine pairing. Staff were friendly and polite but service was by no means stuffy. The somellier made the night- a man from Portugal. His wine pairing was fantastic and he... More

Athough we travel quite a lot we have not written many reviews in the last couple of years because we don't know whether to trust what we read on TA and wonder about their value. We are fed up with reviews which completely overrate average hotels. Fine food and wines feature regularly in our home and we expect quality when... More

Stayed overnight and had a 3 course meal with the room. Everything about the manor was faultless, but the food really was outstanding. I had a confit of salmon to start which was faultless, venison as a main with a sloe gin sauce I wish I could have just had a pint of, and then a delicate but flavourful cheesecake... More
