Lovely setting, good service but let down by some of food. Had roast beef, beef was tender if undercooked for my taste (some of our parties was almost raw). Carrots although decorative in mixed colours were either soggy or hard. One of my potatoes was black and all were quite hard. Only served with a dessert spoon of gravy. Had... More

We stayed at the Manor House and part of our package was a tasting menu with wine pairings in the Bybrook restaurant. Well we certainly couldn't fault the food or service. I personally don't enjoy eating fish or sea food and they were more than happy to adapt the menu to accommodate this. The sommelier gave us some delicious wines... More

Bybrook Resturant - When we arrived the setting and views of the grounds are breathtaking but I would say we were slightly taken back by how the interior lets the Manor down. The service was great and so was the food but for the price you would expect that. The restaurant looks very dated, and not in a good way.... More

Visited for Cream Tea using a voucher given as a gift. Have visited The Manor on many occasions to stay, eat and enjoy the atmosphere. Whilst the service and ambience was as usual good the food presented was less than expected. The sones were so small you had difficulty in getting the jam and cream on them. There were only... More

Treated some colleagues to dinner here. Beautiful setting in gorgeous village location. Lovely restaurant, new addition to the old building, but done in keeping with the feel of the old house. Lovely gin bar, with so many gins to choose from, all served in a large, heavy glass chalice, making your gin drink that extra bit special. Opted for taster... More

We had a special family Sunday lunch here and have enjoyed visits before very much. Unfortunately the experience was much diminished on previous visits. We wanted to confirm use of a wheel chair and had to phone a number of times before anyone answered the main switchboard. The menu was dull and uninspiring The roast beef was thick chewy slices,... We had dinner at the Bybrook restaurant at the Manor House Hotel, Castle Combe, to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We chose from the A La Carte menu. The staff were very welcoming and very attentive. The dishes were beautifully presented and they tasted wonderful. I had the scallops to start, pork for main, I believe this is raised on the... Went for lunch on Monday and sat out on the law. The sun was shining and the setting is beautiful. The member of staff that came to get our drinks order looked like he didn't want to be there at all. When you came back with our drinks he asked if we were ready to order and we weren't so... More

Its a truly beautiful setting and very well kept. Absolutely worth a visit. However the food was a big let down, and disappointing when you have the opportunity to eat in such surroundings. Service firstly wasn't great. Polite yes, but not overly attentive, considering there was only a handful of people sitting out on the lawn, Im not sure why.... More
