Arrived, after deciding to break our journey to Deven, for lunch . There was no one to welcome us, and when someone did greet us, rather than welcome it was are you staying here? No but lunch would be nice. We were shown to a,table after waiting for a while someone came over and took the order- the food was... More

A very brief visit whilst travelling by with my family, and I was very impressed by the wide ranging choice of breakfast options. The choice (and amount) is for you to determine - and it's hard to keep to one choice! There's also a very comfy lounge area for those who want to relax more. My experience will see me... More

We were staying at the Holiday Inn and were wonderfully surprised by this outstanding restaurant. The evening meal was fantastic with a broad, well cooked selection of meals and knowledgeable and attentive staff who went out of their way to look after us and our children. Breakfast was one of the best buffets I have seen with fresh cooked options... More

Stayed at the hotel and tried the 3 course meal at this restaurant and I thought it was great. Nice service, good space between courses and good wine menu.

We stopped here for coffee and we were pleasantly surprised to how good the bar is. The decor is contemporary modern and a very light and spacious bar. Good service and reasonable price. We recommend this bar.

We stopped here on the way down to Devon from Surrey-two hungry and tired people just wanting a quick bite to eat. We decided to stop at the services just before Stonehenge and had expected the usual fast food and poor quality often sadly on offer at motorway services. The Solstice Bar and Grill was a wonderful surprise! It is... More

the best thing about this place was the food. great variety on the menu. we had curries, fish, mixed grill but my absolute favourite was the bread and butter pudding. if I were to be critical, I would like there to be a bit more ambience, maybe divided up a bit to give different seating areas. although clean and modern,... Have eaten here twice now, once for a family meal, 4 of us and we all loved the food and it was a grrat price for the standard. The atmosphere could have been a little better, felt it was set out a little like a canteen but still the food was great. Also visited for a tribute night which was... More

Think Salisbury and youll think Solstice not the mid-summer phenomenon beloved of druids but the super chic Bar and Grill at Amesburys uber-modern Holiday Inn hotel. Situated only moments from the world famous site of Stonehenge, Solstice is glamorously modern, its sleek interior anything but pre-historic. One wall is shot through with a blaze of glass, providing countryside views in the day and inky black reflections at night, while the rest of the room is bright and spacious, furnished in monochrome and lit by low-hanging chrome lamps. Despite its futuristic styling the atmosphere of the restaurant is cosy and welcoming, thanks in no small part to the professional and friendly staff who ensure your every need is met during your visit, be it a swift lunch or a leisurely dinner. From the elegance and ease of a continental style croissant and cappuccino in the morning to the hearty modern European mains of evening dinners and the comforting familiarity of burgers and steaks, plus the well-stocked bar with its excellent wine list and numerous beers, Solstice is a venue for any occasion.
