the best thing about this place was the food. great variety on the menu. we had curries, fish, mixed grill but my absolute favourite was the bread and butter pudding. if I were to be critical, I would like there to be a bit more ambience, maybe divided up a bit to give different seating areas. although clean and modern,... Have eaten here twice now, once for a family meal, 4 of us and we all loved the food and it was a grrat price for the standard. The atmosphere could have been a little better, felt it was set out a little like a canteen but still the food was great. Also visited for a tribute night which was... More

I have been to this restaurant twice. I was a little put off by some bad reviews but please don't let them stop you. On both occasions I went at lunchtime and on both occasions I was more than happy with the service and food. For a restaurant attached to the hotel it was of a very good standard. The... More

Working in the area and stayed at the hotel. The bar and grill was excellent with Caroline the waitress being extremely helpful and made our dining experience. Would recommend anyone in this area the hotel and the bar and grill

We did not eat here so cannot comment on the food, however we did browse the menu which looked great! Very friendly bar staff and a nice bright clean area to sit. Outside table too.

Good menu, plenty to choose from. Our waiter seemed OK to start with but told us he had been away from home for 12 hours at college - it showed as he got slower and slower and gave up at the end and let the Maitre'd deal with us. When we checked out it seemed that he hadn't filled in... More

The food here is always of a high quality. Each fortnight the Special Set menu is changed and provide excellent alternatives to the standard menu. However, as a regular user of the hotel/restaurant i would maybe change this each week. Staff will stop at nothing to please the customer and are very pleasant and will have a quick chat with... Best meal I've had in a hotel restaurant. Smoked salmon fillets and crispy pork belly were practically perfect. Sticky toffee pudding was awesome end.

Description
Think Salisbury and youll think Solstice not the mid-summer phenomenon beloved of druids but the super chic Bar and Grill at Amesburys uber-modern Holiday Inn hotel. Situated only moments from the world famous site of Stonehenge, Solstice is glamorously modern, its sleek interior anything but pre-historic. One wall is shot through with a blaze of glass, providing countryside views in the day and inky black reflections at night, while the rest of the room is bright and spacious, furnished in monochrome and lit by low-hanging chrome lamps. Despite its futuristic styling the atmosphere of the restaurant is cosy and welcoming, thanks in no small part to the professional and friendly staff who ensure your every need is met during your visit, be it a swift lunch or a leisurely dinner. From the elegance and ease of a continental style croissant and cappuccino in the morning to the hearty modern European mains of evening dinners and the comforting familiarity of burgers and steaks, plus the well-stocked bar with its excellent wine list and numerous beers, Solstice is a venue for any occasion.
