When we visited at 8:30 there were only a few loaves and a few bananas cakes available and they were still making bread for that day! So we brought a loaf from the limited choice and can only assume it was yesterdays as it was not that fresh and the quality of their baking poor. The loaf was very heavy... More

I'm trying not to take offense at the name, while I'm certain the locals do. That aside they fill a need in SJS. The bread and treats are fresh and delicious.

We came twice; once on the day we arrived, and a few days later. We loved the pan integral, but the real showstopper was the banana bread with chocolate chips! A real gem for bread lovers like me and my family!

Delicious, crusty, fresh baked breads. I found myself craving this as the restaurants there do not serve bread with meals. Bought a loaf of seasoned focaccia and washed it down with some Tonah beer on the terrace at the hotel.

once you try their bread, you will go back. I have a preference for the olive oil one : at 150 Cordobas (almost 8 CAN $), it is way more expensive than similar quality bread in Montreal. I have a friend in SJDS, a local, who earns the same amount per day, just to make things clear. I feel bad,... More

All the pastry and bakery is very delicious and you want to buy everything you see. The flavor and texture of the pastry is incredibly delicious!! I recommend to try one of each and make your order the day before or in the morning because everything is sold out very fast!!!

You can find this bakery on the main road into town just past the Uno station on the right side. We arrived just after lunchtime and got a French loaf hot out of the oven. Delicious!
