The sun is setting over the San Juan bay. A full table of friends and I are munching down 1$ appies, having a Tona and laughing at the day's surfing bails! Live music is playing with very curtious waiters serving us, Some guys is juggling fire on the beach. This is my last sunset here after 3 months and I... More

This restaurant has a menu with a lot variety and a helpful, friendly staff. The food was great! It's right on the beach so it offers a great view and it was a great spot to catch the sunset while enjoying dinner. My friends and I stayed a couple of hours with no rush to leave. It was a wonderful... More

Right on the beach with seating on the sand if you want. No AC like most places in San Juan del sur. Food and service were above average and well worth the price. Would eat here again.

This is one of the better, more upscale restaurants on the beach in San Juan del Sur - the vibe in the evenings is so fun (my friends and I ended up leaving our table and having an impromptu dance party down at the restaurant beach bonfire, and just running back up to grab bites of food and order drinks).... When in SJDS you have to eat overlooking a sunset and this is good option. Good margaritas, seafood was above average. The octopus was well prepared and the seafood combo for 2 was good. Come here for the views and vibe and food and service was very good.

My wife and I have been coming to San Juan del Sur for the last 23 years and have a number of properties here. Due to various reasons, we haven't been able to come back in the past 3 years. Now that we are back, we've had the opportunity to go to many of the original restaurants. El Timón has... More

We have visited El Timon on previous trips and always wanted to come back. On this trip I took my wife there to celebrate her birthday; as we were about to be seated I noticed a reserved note for 6:30 PM stapled on the table and asked the waiter about it. He reassured us that it was ok (we sat... More

Dined here with friends, I had the seafood croquettes and lobster ravioli. All exceeded expectations, huge servings both for the entree and main. Fresh and fast. Great service especially considering it was so busy. Highly recommended.
