Yeah, this place is run by an Italian expat and staffed by some real Cocineras! I had the Pasta Puttanesca and it was good; hey, I was raised on the East Coast and know my Italian!!

Not sure who sent us here with glowing review. Mauritzio was nowhere to be found. Food unimaginative and not very good at that. Over salted. Skip this place.

Mauricio's is our absolute first pick in SJDS for pasta and pizza, and the wine selection is a refreshing change of pace in a country that's firmly ensconced in the rum-and-beer corner of the ring. Add the facts that it's affordable, features an attentive and friendly staff, a gracious Italian host and a location that's a bit farther from the... More

We went here for a quick bite and had the best pizza ever! There is such a huge selection it is hard to choose! The crust was perfect, not too thick, and very tasty. The toppings were perfect! Top it off with a Victoria and you are good to go! They also deliver, so call for delicious pizza delivered to... More

We ordered 10 pizzas for dinner. This was perfect for feeding us and all the kids. Pizza was great and kept us from treking into tow for the night.

Every time we're in SJdS, we are sure to plan a meal at Mauricio's. We absolutely love the authentic Italian pizzas and pastas (the ravioli is our all-time favorite) served up at very reasonable prices considering the quality and quantity you receive. Thanks for a terrific dinner on our 10-year wedding anniversary! We'll be back...

I love this restaurant and Mauricio himself! Flavors that remind me of my travels in Italy and my love for pizza can be enjoyed in my favorite surf town in this world! Super grateful for this authentic Italian experience when I´m tired of beans and rice. All dishes are created with quality ingredients made by Nicaraguans working side by side... More
