We got a recommendation to try this place so we decided to go for our anniversary dinner. We opted for Hibachi. The chef was nice, quieter and a little more reserved (as far as conversation) compared to our other experiences. His presentation was minimal but very unexpected and created laughable moments to be remembered. We order chicken/salmon hibachi and steak/lobster/shrimp hibachi. Full plates that completely filled us up. This time of year I’ll assume it isn’t really busy as we were the only ones in there (after7:00). But I would imagine when Hershey is popping in the spring and summer it’ll get busy. They are open later (til 10) so that’s nice. Be prepared to get liquid squirted at you (your mouth) Hubby said it was wine (and good) 😂 They serve soft drink beverages, so BYOB if you want otherwise. Nice staff and great food. I hope you enjoy!

Very fun interactive show. Place is BYOB but there are two alcohol shops next door. Very fun for groups with kids with a good selection of options.

Tokyo Diner is a no frills experience, located in a shopping plaza. The ambiance wasn't anything fancy to look at...somewhat generic and plain, but not distasteful. Service/seating was prompt. Drink orders taken and filled quickly. Went to lunch here with coworkers - a party of 8, not expecting much - but was pleasantly surprised that this was a decent place for Japanese. We did the hibachi thing - which is served with onion soup, steamed and grilled vegetables and rice. The onion soup was served in a small bowl, and was very tasty and enjoyed by everyone. Followed by the standard entree mixture of rice with egg, and choice of shrimp, chicken or steak. The lunch portion was more than enough food with half a plate of rice along with veggies and some meat. One colleague ordered a sushi item and she was satisfied with her choices. The habachi isn't as much of a show as other places, but it was entertaining and the food was satisfying. We had requested separate checks, yet we were billed with 2 people per check...not a big deal, but it was not announced to us when presented with the bills.

Food was excellent except the ginger salad dressing had no flavor. Chicken hibachi and salmon cream roll was great. Very empty because Easter evening. Hopefully they normally have more business.

Came here for my birthday! It was a lot of fun. Good service, very entertaining! It’s BYOB as well. They will bring you wine glasses. Good place to dine with family. Make a reservation.

Something happened....stay away We used to like coming to this hibachi. They were friendly with average to above average experience and food. The last two times were bad but the last and final visit was unacceptable. Service was inattentive, chef was not good and most of all the quality of ingredients and subsequent food was POOR. The only redeeming quality was the portions were tiny so at lease we didn’t have a lot to waste Take it from a previously frequent visitor and local......stay away

We’ve been here before and it was okay. Unfortunately this time it was not good at all. We ordered sushi. It’s much more expensive than other similar places in the area and you get much less here. The language barrier is really difficult and had we been able to understand the women we may have known our order was incorrect. However we couldn’t understand what she said to us at all. We only realized it once we got home and actually opened the container (we did glance in the bag at the restaurant to make sure everything was there). I’m not really sure what the one roll was but it was definitely not what we ordered. It looked so unappetizing and smelled awful. We ended up throwing it away. We will return to our usual sushi place in Hummelstown. I can’t speak for the other food here so this review is only for sushi.

I ordered a TNT roll for takeout and it was one of the best sushi rolls I ever had! Service could have been better. The lady at the counter was not friendly or welcoming and did not even bother to greet me but the food was amazing

after long journey i was looking for some food which is lite & tasty so i stoped here while there were many pizzerias on the way.i bought the coupon for food.i was wonder that they had big variety’s.the food was delicious specially the sweet prawns with coconut.I liked the most.satisfied with the all.i wish i could enjoy here again.

If you are in the mood for hibachi food then Tokyo Diner is the place to go. Fresh seafood, veggies and steak expertly prepared and served with a little flair. Ample portions too and all reasonably priced. If you want alcohol remember to BYOB

Like the stir-fried meat with fried rice, to get my fix for Chinese food

1 of 2 places i frequent to get Asian food in Hershey/Hummelstown area. I always go for the Stir-fried meats with vegetable option, and this time i ordered Beef and Shrimp only and omitted the salmon as i find it overcooked the last time (or maybe i just like my salmon sashimi or lightly pan-fried).

From the beginning, we should have left. The young girl at the host desk looked miserable and wasn't very nice, then she walked away. We were seated by our waitress, she was not very warm or welcoming either. We waited a long time as a party of four to begin our hibachi experience. The gentleman cooking our food was quite nice and entertaining. The quality of the food was not as good as in the past. Our waitress removed our soups and sales before we all ate them without asking if we were done. She didn't warm up at all. Our bill was $79.00 for four hibachi dinners. Could've been spent better elsewhere. Very disappointing, as we used to frequent the diner. They need to change more than the name.

Hibachi Fix

This a small friendly Chinese/Japanese hibachi restaurant, Did not try the sushi but was looking to get our hibachi fix on. The food was average, the owner took over as our server so the service was very good. Not exactly sure what happened to the guy who started out as our server. The hibachi cook was very quite, we are used to the hibachi cooks being loud and putting on a show, but that was ok because we did get our fix. When visiting again will most likely try a different hibachi restaurant.
