My daughter is allergic to sesame seeds and was given bread with sesame seeds by Buona Via after they told her there were NO SESAME SEEDS in the meal. She had to be taken to the hospital to stop the anaphylaxis. We now have a...$100 restaurant bill and a $600 hospital bill. The restaurant never reached out to us after we informed them of the consequences of their actions. When I called the owner, Salvatore Carratta, he told me “we make a mistake to put the bread, your daughter make the mistake to eat the bread” and abruptly ended the phone call. When I emailed the general manager, Aprile Hibbs, she offered to give us $55 compensation. We declined to be complicit in their faulty practices so we rejected the hush money. I’m grieved to write this warning, but Buona Via does not demonstrate reasonable care about life threatening allergies.More

Both my wife and I enjoyed our meals. I had the lobster raviolis and my wife had the swordfish special. I also had a tequila drink and the cream of broccoli soup, plus the lava cake and cappuccino for dessert. Everything was delicious but got...a little pricey when everything was added up. Everyone was super friendly and our waiter was very personable. As I said, i would go back.More

I am not the greatest lover of Italian Food and went for my fiancee. I was surprised as I am on the Keto Diet and was able to order food besides Pasta and bread. Tasted good and my lady loved what she had and plans...to drag me back for Sunday Brunch (I won't complain to loud)More

We returned to Buona Via for Restaurant week after a disappointing experience in July. The hostess asked if we wanted to see the Restaurant week menu or the regular menu. We said we came for restaurant week but were concerned because it was advertised as...tasting menu. She said that was just because you get 4 choices - she saw the portions and they were substantial. I guess that is subjective because what we received was not substantial. We left still hungry. The Caesar salad was about 25% of the size of a normal dinner salad. The Capellini Granchio was good, but again small. The salmon was about 3/4" wide by 5" long. Mine was raw in the center. I sent it back & it returned to me in pieces. I questioned whether or not it was what I sent back. We got a very small portion of runny mashed potatoes & 2 brussell sprouts cut in half. None of the food was hot. The creme brulee for dessert had no depth to it. When you broke the burnt sugar topping, you were almost at the bottom of the dish. There was a very thin layer of creme brulee underneath. Probably the worst experience we ever had here.More

We brought out of town guests for dinner here Friday evening, July 26, 2019. Three of us ordered the soup of the day which was tomato bisque and all 4 of us had the Swordfish special. None of the food was hot - not the...soup, nor the entree. Very disappointing experience.More

We get together to watch the Kentucky Derby at Buona Via. We have been doing this for several years. The bar is fine. The restaurant & the service has gone down hill. Two of us ordered the lobster ravioli. We were served BLACK ravioli. Ravioli...with squid ink & a FEW SMALL pieces of lobster on top. GROSS. The other people had some cheap spaghetti (out of the box) with a FEW small pieces of crab. The service was horrible. There are too many Italian Restaurants that serve quality food. Well, this will be the end of watching the Kentucky Derby at Buona Via. BTW, their menu needs a complete overhaul. Never again.More

Beautiful, Italian decor and art embellish the atmosphere. First class treatment, menu, service, finese engulfs one into a truly privileged yet homey welcome.A bar but not a pub, a restaurant that grants you a fine dining manner that takes you to Italy where there is...no pressure or rush to dine. A fantastic seafood menu as well as many other choices produced by a creative chef. The waiters did not kiss my hand but they elegantly bowed and nodded their heads.Outdoor seating on the second floor is also an option. We returned a week after our first visit to introduce our friends to our superb discovery. We will be back!!.More

I have eaten here many times over the years. This was the first trip back in quite awhile. I was not disappointed. I had the clams casino which were excellent. For my main course I had the lobster ravioli. It had lots of pieces of...lobster, and as usual it was very good. Their lobster ravioli is probably the best on the planet. The service was excellent. If I were to have one thing negative to say it is that sometimes the waiters are a bit surly but not this night. The drinks were also very good and very reasonable in price. I'll have to make a point not to stay away so long in the future.More
