I was there for lunch and had the bisque and the spinach Swiss quiche. Both were delicious. Lots of gluten-free and vegan options, along with an extensive bar menu.

Lunch at the Tin Front was an enjoyable experience. It was a small and eclectic cafe; outside seating is available, weather permitting. The menu is very limited, vegetarian fare, but what they have is really good! The sauerkraut on the mock Reuben sandwich was excellent, with a bit of sweetness alongside the savory. The bread was delicious and fresh. My... More

We went to the Tin Front Cafe for dinner. It's minimalist inside but kinda neat. The menu is vegetarian/vegan and looks creative. I ordered the pierogi lasgna and my friend had a spinach/cheese quiche. The salad (inculded) was delicious - fresh greens and a tangy vinagrette. We should have stopped there. The food had to have been microwaved. Oil from... More

My lunch was a terrible mistake. I ordered the grilled swiss cheese and pear sandwich. The barely detectable sliver of swiss cheese was lost in the center of two slices of HUGE bread. The less than generous 2-3 thin slices of pear was dreadfully over-seasoned with cinnamon. I basically paid $8.95 for 2 oversized pieces of toast and a small... More

Not only was everyone nice and accommodating for your party of 5 plus 2 babies, but the food is AMAZING. If you live in the area, or are visiting, you MUST go to their brunch. They have an all included buffet, plus you pick your "entree". I don't remember the last time I had chili that tasted so good. We... More

Authentic Homestead has much to offer in terms of memories, landmarks and history. The little town is still loaded with the legacy of its industrial past. Just along its cultural edge is the Tin Front Cafe where the owners are involved in the Herculean task of sustaining Homesteads vital contribution to the historic, economic and cultural contribution to Pittsburgh and... My girlfriend and went to tin front yesterday for dinner. She is a vegetarian so I thought it would be nice for her to go somewhere that she could eat anything. She ordered the ratatouille and I got the four cheese Mac. My meal was great and my girlfriend loved hers. We also got the black bean hummus which was... More

This is a lovely café and bar and adjoining cooking supplies store in a very transitional area of Pittsburgh. Gracious owners. I had a delicious dairy free butternut squash soup. The sauce on my portabella sandwich ( on a corn tortilla) was too sweet for me but next time I would ask them to correct that. They did accommodate my... More

This place is wonderful. Great vegetarian fare. Not many items on the menu, that means quality. You won't be disappointed, from the starters to the drinks to the desserts. Try the baked brie!
