We stopped in on a Friday night. We had to wait about 10 minutes for a table, but were waited on right away, and our food came quickly. It just got better from there. The French Onion Soup was genuinely the BEST I have ever had. My husband’s Nashville Chicken sandwich was perfect, the Fig and Pig pizza was such a delicious surprise, and the prices were incredibly reasonable. We will definitely be back next time we’re in the area!

We chose this restaurant for our family Thanksgiving celebration. We couldn't have been more pleased. Our whole family agreed that every item on the menu was excellent. All the staff was friendly and helpful. They were well prepared in every way and did an excellent job of managing reservations and the flow of traffic through the buffet lines.

Dinner Friday evening w/a friend. Due to the Covid pandemic I anticipated a stripped down menu and was correct. However, Crab Cakes were available & became my choice w/ sides
Mac & Cheese and Coleslaw. The Crab Cakes were excellent as we're the sides. Two large, all crab meat cakes were as good as I've had anywhere: Baltimore, St. Michaels, Md., Old Bookbinders in Philly, etc. As I'm writting this review on Monday, 3 days after the meal, I still
sense the aroma and flavor. For me that signifies a teriffic culinary experience. Also, the Martini I enjoyed w/ the meal and the server were
1st Class. I'll be a frequent U.S. Hotel guest.

Epic fail this time. My husband ordered a NY strip, it was served on a bed of mashed potatoes... and everything completely doused in cheap brown gravy. Who does that to a $35 steak?
I wanted my go-to favorite of chicken parm, which is now removed from the menu.
The kids seemed happy with their choices, but the best part of our meal was our appetizers.
Our experiences here have either been fantastic or whorrible. The last visit will last us a while.
When they seated a large, obnoxious group right on top of us, it was time to leave.

Not as good as I remember it to be.
I was here once before for a wedding. The food was great.
We tried the Tavern side this time, but it wasn't as good. The service was extremely slow.
Our appetizers were very good, but the dinner menu was strange. I know it's subjective, but the menu seemed to be missing some normal things like a spaghetti or stuffed shells. Some kind of normal pasta. And no chicken wings? What kind of "tavern" doesn't have wings?
Anyway, some things were cold, some things were hot. And it took entirely too long to get our food.
The best thing we had was the crabcakes, but nothing is worth waiting 45+ minutes to get. Sorry.
Our glasses were generally empty as well.
I don't think I would call this a "tavern."

My husband&I plus my Mom&son wanted a very nice quiet Anniversary dinner, so we tried a new place for a change. The US Hotel in Hollidaysburg was the best choice in such a long time, from the beginning to the end. Our waitress Nancy was such a pleasant young woman and so caring and over all wonderful, our meals was good and hot when they arrived at our table. If you are from this area or from out of town please stop by and enjoy a meal and the atmosphere of the US Hotel. Thank you to the owners& the staff. We will be back.

We had talked about having lunch at the US Hotel Tavern for a long time - and we finally did. It was all we could have hoped for. The historic ambience was amazing, the prices were very reasonable and the food was excellent. I loved the Pig & Fig Pizza, and the French Dip was also very good.
The best part of the visit was our server Laura. She was very friendly and personable. We were a little disappointed that we could not sit outside because of a wedding. However, she lead us to her favorite set of booths right away with benches she said were so comfortable that "we could nearly sleep on them". She was right!
We still like to sit outside in the lush garden of the Allegheny Creamery when the weather is good, but this is the perfect spot for a rainy day.

My meal was not as stated in the menu; the “blackened” salmon was grilled, and over cooked to the point of being dry. The sides were listed as long grain and wild rice and corn and black bean salsa. The rice had canned corn and canned black beans tossed on top of it. I took one bite, and couldn’t eat another. There was a tomato salsa, which I did not try— the tomatoes were pale and mealy looking. We haven’t been here in years, but what used to be delicious and creatively cooked food, has gone so far downhill that we will not return.

We stayed at a lovely BnB in Hollidaysburg and ended up coming to US Hotel Tavern both nights of our stay. The food was good and the staff were very welcoming. For lovers of good happy hours like us, you'll be especially p!eased. They have a great draft beer list and 1/2 price drafts for HH, plus discounts on other drinks and apps. All in a historic setting. Nice find!

What a delightful find! Put this place on your must visit list. I was in the area for a few days doing genealogy research on my ancestors who lived in this area when this tavern was young so the historic significance of it was a perfect complement to my visit. I loved everything about it: the food, beer and wine selection, prices, decor. A wonderful blend of history and a contemporary vibe.

The decor is 1850's and even though the location is difficult to find, it is worth finding it. The food is plentiful and the menu varied. We could not finish the large portions. Laura was our wonderful waitress.

Went for dinner with friends. Sat in a back room which was freezing. Drinks were good but food was either too salty, no flavor, or cold. Use to have great food but not now.

One of my favorite places to go to eat! The facility is beautiful and represents historic Hollidaysburg perfectly. If you can get there for brunch it is such a treat!

We started in the bar. The over-priced drinks were pretty good. Our dinner was really bad, though.
The menu is very odd and missing some basic dinner items.
I must have missed the fine print that read our steaks would be covered in brown gravy. This is a crime. Disgusting. Why would they do this to a quality steak? They turned my NY Strip into meatloaf. Much of the whole menu is just stupid.
I have no idea why people like this place so much.

Good food is one thing, but it's nearly impossible to find good service anywhere around here. This place has both.
Another meal that left me stuffed and happy.
