Now the Mayfield restaurant and it was quite delicious! Good crabcake sandwich with a fair amount of filler in the crabcake, but still quite delicious. Onion rings are homemade and spot on. The tomato soup was divine and the caprese hamburger was delightful.
Will definitely return soon (and we'll bring our own finishing salt as salt and pepper grinder.) Shakers were not provided on the tables, but the ones we did see looked like the standard morton salt and pepper shakers.

Nice lunch counter, friendly service and a basic menu in a nice atmosphere. Old-fashioned in the best sense. Haven't been in for lunch or other meals in years, but if you want a pleasant place where the locals seem to go, this is it. Much larger dining room past the counter with 82" (!) TV

Nice little historic diner for lunch.
The food is reasonably priced and pretty good diner food. I enjoy the daily specials at lunchtime. The service has greatly improved recently compared to previous years. I wouldn’t exactly call it fast if you’re in a hurry because it’s tough to squeeze in a lunch if you only have 30 minutes. Allow an hour, and you’re golden to enjoy your food!

My Husband & I have been hearing great things about Capital Hotel/Pipe Room Wings.
They are the best that we had in a long time. All the different flavors of sauces to choose from what a selection.Payton was a great bartender/waitress. The other lady upstairs was so helpful also. Sorry can't remember her name. We will definitely be back soon!!

Had a nice breakfast with a taste of old Hollidaysburg.Nice spot in downtown Hollidaysburg for dining or casual coffee.Always friendly and good service.You can never go wrong.

We stopped by the Capitol Hotel for lunch today. We were a group of 8. We ordered cheese steak hoagies, French fries, Wedding soup, salads, and an assortment of drinks. The cheese steaks were fabulous!!! The homemade Italian dressing was quite tasty. My husband had it on his salad & really enjoyed it. The French fries were really good. They seemed to be coated with a seasoning that made them crunchy on the outside but tender on the inside. They were great! The service was wonderful! Everybody was very friendly. We would definitely recommend eating at the Capitol.

Nice, friendly staff and speedy service.
Sat at the bar and ordered a burger, which arrived very quickly.
Also, had friendly conversations with other people at the bar.
Good place to get a quick bite and chit chat with people.
