What if…the food was edible? What if…the service wasn’t excruciatingly slow? What if…paying $200 meant it was actually worth not having to cook? That’s it. I’m opening a restaurant. Thanks for the inspiration. For this place to be operating at all is both astonishing and...a miracle. Perhaps it was a bad weeknight, an inconvenient time for us to drop in for dinner. Perhaps there was a food shortage and all they had to offer were frozen dinners. I can’t begin to imagine what it must be like operating a business these days. Unfortunately for us we inadvertently donated $200 to this establishment. I say donated because what we received was not anything close to the value portrayed by the delicious words on the menu. (Pro tip: short rib Mac n cheese has literally 1 rib worth of meat). Listen folks, when you can’t even put yummy delicious boxed Mac n cheese on the table for the kiddos, why are you even in this business? Rubber. The audacity to offer something like filet mignon and then just char it to 190°F regardless of how it was ordered (medium-rare). Lastly, I hate to complain about service at all…but it was torturous. We couldn’t get a drink or a check. We couldn’t leave. We debated chewing and screwing. We are not those type of people, but the conversation happened. So, if anyone is still inclined to visit this restaurant, hit me up instead - I’ll cook you an amazing meal for half the cost and 1000x the quality.More

I have to start by saying that when I realized this restaurant was in a middle-end hotel, I was concerned that it wouldn't be the experience I was looking for. I was so wrong! The atmosphere from the second you get down the stirs to...the foyer is just great. High-end, classy, and very warm. we were early and the bar was packed so the hostess took drink orders from us, invited us to sit on comfy coaches in the foyer and delivered the drinks out there. We were seated at a table in a short time, still earlier than our reservation. The dining room is lovely - comfortable chairs, good decor, great lighting. Our server was also very welcoming. Our starter of Brie en Croute with fig was so delicious, a bit different than the traditional preparation. I had the short ribs, with were fork tender. My companion had the special, a porkchop with a cranberry, apple, gorgonzola cream sauce. Unusually but worked so well together. We were, sadly, much too full for dessert, although there were many yummy choices. And then we checked the bill twice because we were sure they had missed something! It was so inexpensive. Visit this restaurant while you are in town. A you can see, I am now a fan!More

We came here because was convenient - we stayed at hotel next door. The food was decent and lots of choices. Servers were understaffed and was very busy (on a Tuesday night!) so took awhile for our food to come out. I’m glad we went...to check it out, I mean with a name like WHAT IF.., got to see, right?More

We drove over 700 miles and arrived in Hershey after 9 pm on a weeknight. Much later than expected due to traffic, road construction and poor weather. After checking into our accommodations we went looking for a hot meal. We were turned away by a...few restaurants who said their kitchens closed at 9 o'clock (understandable). We were ready to give up and settle for lousy fast food (not our idea of a satisfying dinner) when we spotted "What If" and hoped for the best. I went in - tired, wet and hungry and asked the hostess if they were still serving. She checked with the kitchen, came back out and said "yes". I hurried to get my fiance from the car before they changed their minds, and we were seated. We both had crab cakes. My fiance ordered a small plate served with pesto and aioli, while I ordered a full serving of collossal crab cakes served with a vegetable medley and mashed potatoes, which I chose instead of rice. What followed was the best meal of our 8 day vacation covering several states. The crab cakes were the best we have ever had and would be hard to beat. Mostly crab with very little cake. Fresh, large, seasoned and cooked to perfection. Served with drawn butter, cocktail and tartar sauces, but they were absolutely delicious with no garnishes. The vegetables were also worth mentioning - fresh and delicious (and I'm not a big fan of vegetables). My fiance was equally delighted with her meal. The food was hot, drinks were cold and the service was exceptional. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, with a late crowd of locals at the bar and other tables enjoying meals and drinks. Reasonably priced. THANK YOU for serving us a late dinner after a long, tiring, frustrating day. The experience was one we will never forget, and the crab cakes will serve as the standard by which we judge all others.More

I ordered a bone-in ribeye that was completely unseasoned and grizzly. I had to cut several places just to get through to taste….nothing. This is the first time I’ve sent a meal back in 13 years. The chef came out and questioned me about it,...and told me that their ribeyes were all marinated. First off, who marinates a bone-in ribeye? Secondly, if it was marinated it was in water. I got a burger instead and that wasn’t seasoned either, but it’s a burger. It was edible. Clearly frozen. My wife had a fillet mignon with a crab meat sauce. It was very tender and and crab and sauce added plenty of flavor, though the meat was again, unseasoned. My son had pasta and meatballs. He eats anything, but those meatballs really were not good. On the plus side, our hostess and waitress were very nice. It’s a nice looking place. But I’d never recommend eating here.More

A hidden gem I am SO GLAD we tried!! We were looking for a great place to enjoy our last dinner together in Hershey, PA. We were a party of 8... 4 adults and 4 chidlren. We requested to eat outside which they promptly accomodated....We had the entire patio to ourselves and it was beautiful!! Then came along our waiter Cody. Forget how amazing the food and drink was.....I'll get to that in a minute. First lets talk about the impeccable service....Cody made our night!! He put on the patio lights, put on some music for us, was extremely attentive, but not overly so, had a great way with the kids, and just made the night perfect!! I kindly requested he take a picture with our party which he did!! Such a great memory! Now the food.....we got the fried pickles, pierogi's, cheese board, baked seafood, lambchops, chicken Milanese, pasta Bolognese, and Tuscan pasta (that was my dish and I added the crab, which were HUGE chunks of amazing crab meat). Every bite of every dish was delicious!!!! My pasta was perfect and everyone at the table raved about their dish. Kids loved their meals off the kids menu as well. The drinks were amazing and Cody went out of his way to provide a traditional mimosa for myself and my friend after we tried the blackberry mimosa which was also great! It was a great. memorable way to end our trip in Hershy and we will absolutely retun some day when visiting again!!More
