Have stopped by many times over the years- limited selection is only concern. Friendly people and reasonable prices. Not much parking.

While visiting Hazleton we ate Senape's tavern . Great pitz ( pizza) Hazleton has its own slang. We also had their famous salad. this tavern has been around forever. we go every time we come up from Va.

Buy baked goods from bread to pitza every day of the week. I get there early in the morning for the best selection. They sell out of products on a daily basis. I have shipped their products to friends and family as a holiday treat over the years. Senape's Tavern is right next door with great Italian cuisine. Start with... More

This bakery has been in Hazleton for 100 years and the bread and pitza is consistently the best. Grew up eating the cold box pitza for lunch.

Locals that moved away, come back for their saucy, cold, square pizza that is scrumptious. Bakery has home-made cream-cheese buns, poppy-seed and nut rolls, melt-in-your-mouth breads and numerous other goodies. It's a small store adjoining their restaurant. Store opens 6 am and sells out of favorite foods - quick!

I was raised in the McAdoo area and moved to NC 15 years ago, but when we go back to Hazleton to visit family, it is necessary to get a couple boxes of Senape's pizza. They don't last long either. It's the only pizza I can eat cold, it's excellent.

There Italian Bread and Rolls are to die for. Their cold boxed Pitz (their name for Pizza) is a staple for out-of-towners to take back home for friends and family. I rate as my favorite breakfast meal is their Cinnamon and raisin with icing and coconut flakes. I used to go there with my father for Hard Rolls right out... More

Sometimes things are overrated, but the Pitzas are not! We ended up buying 20 of them to take to our son's team - and wished we had bought an extra one for ourselves! The cinnamon rolls were fantastic too!

Whenever we are hungry for baked goods, such as fresh bread, cold pizza, or My favorite --- Apple Walnut Cinnamon Loaf, I go straight to Senape's Bakery. They also have a restaurant & bar, complete with Old World Charm. A definite stop when you're in Hazleton. We even take Senape's cold pizza with us to out of towners, & send... More

You want to go here if you can. Staff very friendly. No preservatives in any of the products, so eating them is a priority. Try the tomatoe pie. Its different in that it has cheese, but served cold like the others. Assorted other stuff for the sweet tooth and of course, very fresh bread.
