I've been trying to get to this place for months and was super excited to get the chance this afternoon. The place itself is so tiny leading into a back room where you order. There are signs all over about the greatness of South Philly. The service was quick, friendly, and to the point skipping all the nonsense. The boyfriend... More

Our trip to the Capitol Complex in Harrisburg was great and got even better when we asked locals to recommend a popular place to have lunch. We hit the jackpot when we chose to walk up to the Jackson House. It's very small and not much to look at from the outside, but the place was packed with happy, friendly... More

I have heard good things about this but I haven't been able to get over to it until now. And I wish I would have came here sooner! The place doesn't look like much from the outside, but they cook up some delicious burgers. They are only open for lunch and there is usually a line, but it goes pretty... More

I have worked two blocks away from this restaurant for three years and just ate there for the first time. I've been afraid to go in because I heard bad things about the customer service and the dreaded "Burger Nazi." As it turns out, I think people say bad things to keep the crowds to a minimum. It isn't working!... More

Finally stopped here for lunch with my husband! Had heard about it, but since it isn't open on weekends we had to wait for a time that we were not working. We split a cheese steak which was delicious!! This place lives up to all the great reviews. Can't wait to go back and try a burger.

Easily one of the five best burgers I've ever had. Perfectly cooked, hug, all obviously fresh ingredients. The bacon was perfectly crisp, the bun perfectly soft. A truly memorable meal and cheaper than your average chain place. A true gem of a place.

The Jackson House is a small sandwich shop near downtown Harrisburg. They're only open at Lunchtime and get very busy. Their hamburgers are large, hand formed, made to order and delicious! Their Veggie sub is another one of my favorites along with the cheese steak sub. If you're in the downtown area around lunchtime, give the Jackson House a try.... More

Gross little hole in the wall joint that cranks out delicious subs! I don't eat burgers but plenty of people rave about them. Make sure you ask for the authentic seeded Philly roll and the imported provolone. Yummy!
