A little hole in the wall restaurant directly across the street from the State Museum and a few minutes walk to the Capitol, this restaurant is the place in Harrisburg for burgers. Family run, friendly staff, great service. So, enough about the place; the burgers are cooked to perfection with loads of condiment choices, great fries, and did I say,... More

Looking for an amazing cheeseburger? You found the place. The line will most likely be out the door when you get there. Don't worry it moves at a good pace and the wait is so so worth it. The fries aren't bad either but the cheeseburger is what you must try. This place is cash only and doesn't have more... More

Besides “best burger ‘ in Harrisburg, an award that this restaurant has won numerous times, I would say clearly that this is where you come for the “Freshest Burger in Harrisburg.” You know those healthy eating best selling books by the likes of Michael Pollan and Eric Schlosser, who stress if you have to eat meat, eat it in moderation... Tried the chef salad (twice in one week). Both times the salad was a very nice size and definitely worth the value. Very tasty! Could only eat part of it so each was good for 2 lunches for me. Had to wait a while going on a Friday but if you go with someone, the time passes more quickly. YUM!

Stopped for lunch on my way to the Capitol. Glad I did! It's not fast, but great character, great fries and best burger ever. I'm not sure what they do, but the burger has a crust on the outside and yummy goodness all over. Highly recommended.

Little Italy in Harrisburg. Fresh excellent ingredients. I could live here. Had the old Italian hoagie.

Heard a lot of great things about Jackson House before I had anything from there. Actually had the cheeseburger delivered to me from one of my co-workers and was very pleased from the experience. Seasoned perfectly and charred just right. Make it how you like it and you wont have anything better than if you make it at your own... More

I had the Jimmy Pizzo's Bada Bing... and it was fantastic. The sharp provolone was fantastic. I wish I would have gotten some pepper shooters... that's my only regret. You don't go there for the ambiance and they are open a limited time, so know what you want when it's time to order. It was a super hot day and... More

You won't be disappointed, this little place has the best Italian hoagies and best hamburgers you will ever have! The only problem are their hours; Monday-Friday 10-2, so take a long lunch hour and have the best hoagie or burger and you don't even have to drive to Philadelphia!

This small hole in the wall very Italian sandwich shop , ran for years by the same couple, operates only Monday – Friday 10:30AM to 2:00 PM, (Grill closes at 1:40, and they are not kidding). Closed all state and federal holidays. So a person might ask how a little place can possibly stay in business for years operating 3.5... More
