We had dinner here with friends who live Harrisburg. Our reservation was for outdoor dining. We were a little early and seated immediately. The small plates are very interesting. One person in our party of four had the sauteed octopus. It was delicious and served...with fingerling potatoes and salsa verde. Two people shared the chicken Marsala, a special of the night. The chicken was served with fried potatoes, mushrooms and a Marsala sauce. One entree was more than enough to share. I had the crab ravioli. The pasta had chunks of crab and ricotta cheese in a white sauce strongly flavored with onion. We all enjoyed our dinner and the wine we ordered. Service was friendly and professional. If there is any downside to the restaurant it is the noise level, both inside and outdoors. The traffic on Second Street is heavy and constant. Parking is on the street.More
My husband and I are from out of town and visited Cork and Fork based on a recommendation from our hotel staff. I liked the environment/feel of the restaurant. The prices were reasonable. The food was good. However, the lettuce for our salad was brown,...the “small plate” we ordered came out when we were almost finished with our pizza and our server was lacking in basic “service skills.” She never asked how our food was and I had to ask her three different times to clear empty glasses and dishes from the table. We would consider giving this place a second try but it probably won’t be on this trip.More
We had 30 minutes for lunch prior to touring the spectacular nearby Pennsylvania State Capitol building and the Cork & Fork met our schedule with style, speed, great food and outstanding service. We enjoyed the Margarita pizza. We were so satisfied that we returned there...after the tour for espresso and the best tiramisu I’ve ever tasted.
A must visit and I say this as a discerning New York City diner!More
In town for the weekend and found this place based on reviews and it did not disappoint! Sat at the bar (first come first serve) and the bartender, Roman, was super friendly and awesome. Ordered the bruschetta (tomatoes excellently marinated in a really good balsamic...vinegar), octopus cooked to perfection, spaghetti Bolognese (flavorful, great pasta), and crab ravioli which was by far our favorite (creamy, tasty and filled with a lot of crab meat). Ended with tiramisu (a tad too much espresso in the dessert) and affogato which was delicious. We were so happy with the meal and the service, we kept talking about how wonderful it was several times even after we got back to our hotel. Amazing dinner spot, must try when you’re in town!More
Amazing brunch— everything was spot on! We sat outside and enjoyed the weekend sun.
We started with some drinks, both got Americanos with the beans coming from Little Amps across the street. Very good! My boyfriend got the bloody and I got a regular mimosa,...both were pretty solid. Skewer on the bloody only had veggies on it, which surprised me as I usually put meat & cheese on mine!
To eat, the two of us split:
- Regular bruschetta
- Egg brussels pizza
- Meat & cheese board!
(Meat: Petit jesu, hot coppa, cheese: humboldt fog, rosemary brigante, and comes with some pita/apple butter/mustard/olives)
Wow wow wow. Everything hit the spot. We weren’t able to finish everything on the meat and cheese board so took some home. The bruschetta was so nice and light, with perfectly toasted bread. THE PIZZA, wow. The pork along with the white sauce pairs so nicely, and the egg with runny yolk is just the bow on top. These rich flavors combine beautifully and every bite was amazing. And the meats and cheeses. Meats were amazing alone— so pleased with our choices. But the cheeses stole the show for me. Humboldt fog goat cheese just melted in my mouth it was so good. And the rosemary was so nicely flavored (I LOVE sheep’s cheese). Overall, wouldn’t change a thing about this meal. Waitress provided warm and attentive service, along with great recommendations.More
Great location in Harrisburg Pennsylvania! We travel a lot and when we come into a city we always ask the locals what the hotspot is, of course Cork and Fork was recommended and these locals knew what they're talking about. Great design and architecture fantastic...wine list and craft cocktails. The concept is especially appealing to me because they have what's called small bites. I can never decide what flavor I want and when I get a large meal in a classic restaurant I often burn out. My fiance and I just had lunch. Outside in 70° weather with beautiful leaves falling. It was literally our seventh time eating there in 14 days. For lunch we started out with a homemade vegetable soup and amazing brussel sprout salad. We moved on to homemade meatballs and a classic bruschetta.. our final course was a delicious pappardelle pasta. All of these amazing flavor profiles for well under $50.
Today we chose to break away from our favorites the crispy and light eggplant parmesan and ravioli. Needless to say we were not disappointed. Everything on the menu is fresh vibrant flavorful and scrumptious. John is one of the managers and always made sure our accommodations were met. A great team lead by great leaders is always a recipe for success. Top that with an incredible chef that knows exactly what's your pallet desires and you have a rare combination that can only equal goodness in your belly and goodness in your heart when you leave.
If you're a local and haven't tried it go now.
