My daughter visits here often and she enjoys the crab and cream cheese always freshly made always! The service is awesome and it is awesome to visit with the downtown feel of the city.

I’ve eaten sushi around the world. I’d like to say I have a discerning taste, but I’m not a gourmand. However, I know what is good, and fresh. To celebrate my son‘s arrival in Harrisburg to finish university; on a very snowy night we trudged...15 minutes from his apartment to Miyako. Cold and damp we sat at the sushi bar and had a wonderful experience. He had never had warm sake before so we tried that along with a large Sapporo beer. We chose from the basic sushi menu of miso soup for two, salmon skin roll, eel and cucumber roll and spicy salmon roll. It was absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They even suggested that we not sit near the door because of the cold air that was coming in. We were warm, well fed and happy when we had to walk back to my son’s apartment. This is a little treasure on 2nd Ave. in historic Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Do not miss it.More

I've been on a sushi kick lately and working in Harrisburg, Miyako is my go-to. They have a great lunch special with two or three sushi rolls that come with either a soup or salad. Their Philadelphia Roll is my favorite. Great service and sushi!

I've been here for lunch and dinner and have enjoyed both. The sushi is quite good, and the menu includes a variety of lunch time specials. Good selection of sushi. Good service. Reasonable prices.

Treated my son to dinner this weekend. The sushi menu had so many options, my head was spinning. The tea was hot and the server made sure to check on us often enough to keep the tea hot but not so much as to be...obnoxious. Her recommendation for the volcano sushi was spot-on. I'll be back! Got 3 sushi rolls and 2 orders of hot tea for $39.00.More

I cannot remember a single time when we have had to wait for a table at Miyako. The staff are so kind and the food is always delicious! I usually get clear soup, salad with ginger dressing and the shrimp tempura roll. This time I...was not exceptionally hungry so I skipped the salad. The shrimp tempura roll was fresh! The shrimp crisp! The soup was good as always. The hot tea, soothing! I think my husband and I got out for less than $18 per person including tip. He had a crab roll, clear soup, beer and we both had saki. Such a sweet, quiet place in the city to get away for a casual dinner.More

I've been eating at Miyako for years because the sushi is excellent. The quality of the fish is great and the sushi is rolled beautifully. My favorite rolls are the Christmas roll and spicy tuna roll. I've never had a problem with the service and...the price is great. If you like sushi you should definitely try Miyako.More

We all had bento box selections. The food was good and plentiful for the price. The server was friendly, but it was slow. It took a long time for the food to come out; not a good choice if you are in a hurry or...on a strict time limit.More

I've been to alot of sushi places. This one ranks somethere in the very low middle range of them all. I personally wouldn't go here for dinner, but I do enjoy it for lunch. Prices are decent also...probably one of the better priced sushi places...in the area, but I sometimes think that their rolls are a little smaller than most too. It's definitely worth a try if you're downtown.More

The food is mediocre at best, the waitress is the worst I have ever seen. She is slow and rude. She couldn't grasp that I wanted spicy shrimp and spicy salmon, she kept asking me if I wanted spicy sauce. Beware when you get your...bill if you don't tip the terrible waitress she takes it upon herself to add one. Watch your credit card and bank statements. You never know if the sushi is truly fresh and lately after I leave I feel sick. I have been a customer for a long time, after this experience I will never go back.More

I ordered a Nabeyaki Udon Soup at Miyako, thinking that it would be really tasty considering how many patrons have raved about this place. However, to my utter disappointment, it was not up to par to what I've tasted in other Japanese Restaurants. For starter,...besides the udon, fish cakes and tofu were the most common ingredients in this dish, but there were none. There were no mushrooms nor carrots either. All I got was one shrimp tempura - which was not even crispy and the batter they used to fried it was not the authentic Japanese flakes so it tasted very hard. The entire soup was filled with lots of Napa Veges and chicken, but no other types of green vegestables, let alone green onions. Also, when asked the question of the difference between soba and udon noodle, the waitress looked really annoyed at us as if we were from Pluto. I would've done better if I had stayed home and made it myself.More

We had a great time on at Miyako - great sushi rolls, fabulous saki and fun atmosphere. Service was slow at first, especially considering we had a reservation so they knew to expect a large group in addition to regular Saturday crowds. Overall this is...on our list for next year.More
