We have been coming here for many years. EVERYTHING on the menu is delicious! Most importantly they are consistent with great tasting food excellent friendly service. Bamboo is our go to mostly healthy comfort food place. I highly reccomend the classic Beef Pho, the Beef Stew, the clay pots, grilled shrimp salad, spring and summer rolls, and they make a really good curry chicken and rice but therevis something for everyone on the menu. Guarantee you will enjoy!

My wife and I have gone here several times over the past several years, but sometimes with many-months gaps between. The manager (maybe owner?) recognized us on each return, and on one visit even recalled what dish we each had the last time there. Great service. . . And the food was fantastic too. I love the beef satay, and the summer rolls, but everything I've tried there was good.

Best Pha with Rice Noodles. Pork with Pork Dumpling. Summer Rolls with Veggies. Get there and order by 1130 much better service before the Malverne Tech mob arrives. Peaceful place and very crisp and clean. The people are fine and polite. Nicest place for lunch. Use all the twigs and leaves in your Pha the flavors will excite your brain. Good for business Lunch. Everyone Smiles. You smile too!

We went as two couples for dinner on a Friday. They do not take reservations on weekends (or so they told me) so we had to wait for a table. We definitely should have left and gone elsewhere! The servers are the rudest, most dismissive, unfriendly and impolite I have ever experienced at a restaurant! It is a BYOB and we practically had to beg to get them to bring us wine glasses. The food is average (at best) for some ideas and downright terrible for others. The fried rice was horrible. It was so dry and hard it must have been sitting out all day. I am a Vegan and the fried rice was the only entree I could order (by omitting the egg). The menu is large but for a Vietnamese restaurant, there should be vegan or more true vegetarian options. Because beware of their Vegetarian section as all items (except the fried rice) have oyster sauce. I asked if they had any other sauce and they do not. Oysters are not vegetarian! They should know that. The spring roll and veggie roll were OK. Two people had the noodle soup and said it was good but somewhat bland. One person had a beef entree and said it was good. Papaya salad was OK. All portions are very small and way overpriced! After we finished our entrees, the waiter walked by and literally dropped the check folio on the table. He did not say one word until I said that we would like to order dessert. All he said was "no dessert" and walked away. When he came by our table a couple of minutes later, another person at our table asked why there was no dessert (they have dessert on the menu). He said "the kitchen is closed" and walked away. This was at 8:20PM and they do not close until 9:00! There were also several other tables with people still eating. NEVER, EVER AGAIN!

Try their Vietnamese spring rolls, we get three order every time we go there! So good! We've had their pho, vermicelli bowls and hot and sour soup. Each one is expertly prepared, fresh, hot and delicious!

A group of 16 of us came here for lunch. We originally had only planned for 12 so there wasn't enough room for everyone; we asked about dragging another table over and were given the okay. It was my first time but everyone else had been here before. We were seated quickly and waters and menus brought. After looking over the menu I noticed the menu had something for everyone but it was a little expensive. There were basically 3 dishes ordered at the table - clay pot with either chicken or catfish, Bamboo Special and vegetable fried rice. Someone ordered the meat rolls, pho and hot and sour soup. I had the clay pot with chicken. It was a little spicier than I was expecting but it was delicious. I couldn't stop dipping my rice into the broth. Did I mention it was delicious. Everyone was pleased with their meal but I thought for the portion size it was expensive even, so this is definitely a place to come bact to.

You will not eat again that day after lunch. Everything here is authentic. Big food adventure and anything with Rice is Big. The stuff veggie in soft noodle before you PhA of choice. I always get the Rice noodles with stuffed Wanton PHO PHA. I put in all of the Salad weeds but be careful of the hot sauces 2 Dots in the large bowel is just fine for me. The Broth in the Soups are great and could stand on their own. If you like Coffee get the house table brew Viet style. My advice for large groups is reservations or get there by 1130 AM it get tight from Wednesday to Friday for lunch.

Met friends from downingtown here for dinner on a Saturday at 6. The place got crowded and filled in no time. It’s byob and we brought our own white wine. The food selection was extensive and varied with Vietnamese, Thai, and other Asian specialties including their clay pots which are to die for. Pho was excellent too. Pricing was very reasonable. Service was fast but we were not rushed at all. I would come back here in a second. Take in this strip mall food gem soon.

The hardest thing about eating at Bamboo is deciding among the dozens and dozens of offerings. Everyone in our group of six ordered something different and no one was disappointed. The food was tasty and fresh, served within a reasonable time and filled our hungry bellies. Service here is pleasant and the staff is calm and courteous. My only complaint is that the servings are small for the price paid. Either they could be a little more generous with their protein servings or lower their prices. For example, my meal came with grilled shrimp - delicious but there were only four medium sized shrimp on my plate. Overall, a nice little spot with good eats, but a little pricey for what you get.

Entrance fronts route 30/Lancaster Ave in this busy shopping center. Interior is a bit dated and needs freshening, perhaps was formerly a diner of some sort. Menu is varied with apps, soups, bowls of different nature and entrees. Some items can get pricey but overall within the range of other local celebrity style eat in Polynesian venues. First visit and wasnt sure what to expect from menu, and wait staff didnt explain things thoroughly plus there are no pics in menu, thankfully there are on TA and Yelp. We got a beef stew noodle soup dish and broken rice chicken plate. The soup was a traditional style in large bowl with the many ingredients flavored with tomato paste in broth. I was surprised with the the rice dish- expecting a fried rice style but as you see in the pic it was grilled thin cut chicken with a little sweet sauce and a serving of the broken rice and side of veggies. I quite enjoy my chicken this way. With tip we got out about $30 and no drinks, it is a BYOB so perhaps they dont have a license. Was popular around dinner time with families and what seemed like students from the local colleges.

My family loves Vietnamese food and this place is very good. We use to eat at many authentic places in Phila, and this one is just as good. We eat there every other week or so.

They have come a very long way from the 2000s .. Their GREATEST dishes (Veggie) are Yellow curry (not the Thai version but absolutely stunning their own version), Clay pot tofu (you also can order chicken version) - but mind you, choosing spice level is perfect .. choose Medium if you like just a little high ... unless you are really sure you can handle the heat, do not say 'Spicy' .. I love it spicy but I can tell you that is heat .any variant in the fried rice is simply superb ..in meat, Bamboo Pho is great .. Key Points: delivery to the table can take a little longer when there is crowd, so go early for lunch (around 1140AM); Portions are absolutely huge, so plan to share; yes the waiters speak very good English unlike many chinese restaurants; there are many diehard clubs for some dishes like the Claypot Tofu; they accept modifications to dishes (for example some dishes that dont say Tofu, you can order - no oyster sauce, no chicken, but tofu)

Soup will never be the same. Asian Noddle Bowls like to be never tasted. Any dish with rice are succulant. Try the veggie soft rolls before your giant Tub of Pha. Try Vietnamese Coffee brew at table. Nice folks with smiles to help with menu. Rice noodles are my favorite and I prefer #29 or #30 The broths are full flavored. Be careful of the sauces they be hotttt! Try it you will go back many times.
