It was our son's birthday, we currently live in South Carolina, but originally from PA. Our son wanted to show his young family this great spot for the view and food and have a nice birthday dinner. The hostess was rude and having words with...a staff member. The young man that waited on us said the kitchen was backed up and he couldn't put our order in right away. Two little ones waited over 1/2 hour for p&j sandwich. We never got our dinners. We loved this restaurant and went many times. It's a shame our son's birthday was ruined by the Allegheny Grille. Management needs to step up, train your staff in proper hospitality and ramp up the kitchen, or unfortunately you will lose all business.More

A one street town and the only place to dine – we wondered what this would be like and were surprised by lovely service and a decent veggie burger. Give desserts a pass – what was described as homemade chocolate cake was dry, lacked depth,...and tasted like it came from a box.More

When we get tickets for an event in Foxburg, we always eat at the Allegheny Grille. It is convenient, sits on the water's edge and the food and service are very good.

We had a family gathering of six in Foxburg. We ate at the Allegheny Grille for dinner and breakfast the following morning. I think all businesses are struggling with staffing issues and I commend the people who showed up to make our weekend a memorable...experience. I would guess the staff was stretched thin but we encountered people with wonderful attitudes and great service. Will definitely be back again.More

Sad to say, but this restaurant isn’t even near what it used to be. It used to be our “go-to” place for a nice scenic ride, nice atmosphere, and good food - especially the grilled prime rib which was to die for. Unfortunately, over the...last 2-3 years we’ve noticed the quality of the food steadily declining and today was the final straw. We will not return. The food we had today was “poor to terrible” - almost to the point we couldn’t eat it. The “pan sauce reduction” on the $27 short ribs tasted more like like a bad rendition of barbecue sauce with lots of chili powder(?) added. It ruined the dish and my mother couldn’t finish it - she wouldn’t even take it home. The pulled pork sandwich was dry and lacked flavor. The coleslaw was outright terrible. My $17 steak salad was “meh” - mostly just large pieces of boring iceberg lettuce. The service was good. We still like the atmosphere but we will not return. Sad.More

Had breakfast at the grille June 26, 2021. When we entered, the manager said they weren't open yet and proceeded to tell the staff "that's why we don't unlock the doors early". The staff informed him it was actually time and they seated us. He...stood around with his arms crossed, smoking, and watching the waitresses finish getting the tables ready for customers. The service and food was great, but the manager left a bad taste in our mouths.More

Fabulous view. Outdoor seating on a beautiful day. We tried the loaded nachos and a grilled steak salad. All delicious. One suggestion for improvement- switch salad dressing brands. I love Bleu cheese dressing but the quality just wasn't there. I tried the Italian as well,...it was better but in general the quality needs improvement. All other items were high quality and I would return and recommend.More

The view was very nice. The restaurant is clean and the service was very good. We had a group of 8 and all got a little bit of everything. The Hog Fries were awesome, mashed potatoes were great. My steak was not the best :(...very fatty, I hardly ate any of it. Would visit again.More

I stopped here for the first time for lunch yesterday. The staff is very friendly and the service is very good. Since this was my first visit, I don't really feel like I should be critiquing their food too much. I had the clam chowder...and club sandwich and it was good. I am often in Emlenton during the warmer month riding the trail so I'll have to stop here again.More

Visit was on 10/10/20. Allegheny Grill was recommended to us by our chiropractor from McDonald, PA several years ago. We have been there twice before. Once when canoeing on Clarion River. We enjoyed it so much we brought my mom and a friend for their...80th & 90th birthday. The second time was excellent also. Food and Service. Its pricey but the food was so good we felt that it was worth it. We also were planning to bring nieces for graduation, not now. This time was completely different. My husband ordered short ribs. They were so salty you couldn't eat them. I like salty food but when I tasted them I wanted to spit them out. They also were sour tasting. They took them off bill and offered to get him something else but the taste was so bad he just could bring himself to try something else. I had the salmon which was ok but no where near as juicy as previous time. Kinda bland must have been missing a sauce. The potatoes were ok also but previous yummy potatoes had parmesan cheese, these didn't. Bean, carrot mixture was also ok but missing the yummy sauce as previous meals. Everything was lukewarm when we got it but we were hungry and didn't want to send it back and wait again. In the past their desserts were excellent also. My husband had flourless chocolate cake w/raspberry sauce. Something wrong with the sauce way to sweet. I had the raspberry creme pie which in the past was delicious. It was so sweet it made my teeth hurt. I think it was the same sauce as cake. Service was ok, food wasn't her fault but she just didn't seem to be interested. Atmosphere would have been nice, it was warm and we were on the patio, but there was a group of around 12 teenagers dressed fancy that decided to hang out near our table talking. Making it hard for people to get around and it was about 1/2 hour before someone told them they needed to hang out somewhere else. We were extremely disappointed. We so enjoyed having somewhere special to go even though it is an hour and 1/2 from our place. We ask the waitress if something had happened and she said everyone had quit and everybody was new. I'm not sure if it was coronavirus but we really don't think we will be back. They need to rehire all the old employees especially the chefs if that is what happen.More

We were camping with another couple at Woods Camping resort and decided instead of cooking we would try this restaurant. Wow!! I wish I could give 100 stars our waitress Lisa was amazing the mussels were phenomenal, the artichoke dip was amazing and our entrees...were unreal. My husband got the pork chop, I had the salmon, and our friends had the roasters red pepper penne and the beef short ribs. We can’t wait for our next trip. I didn’t even mention the atmosphere it’s right on the river and beautiful!!More

We visit Foxburg about four or five times per year (about a two and a half hour drive) and we always enjoy a meal at the Allegheny Grille. The view of the Allegheny River is a nice touch to the fine food. I guarantee you...will neither leave hungry or broke. The new England clan chowder is the best I've ever tasted.
