Fabulous cheesesteaks. Although not a fan of cheese whiz I ordered without however forgot about the dirty Jersey fries. Still fabulous. Adorable setting outside. Loved it! Kudos for having a doggy menu.
I live in South Philly and I can tell you when you order a Big Mike's cheesesteak you are getting as close as you can get to an authentic Philly cheesesteak 3.5 hours away. I came up here for a few days on vacation and...decided to stop by with my girlfriend to grab one. I could tell right away it was legit by the quality of the bread. The steak was good and it was not over filling. I got the American wit (fried onions). My girlfriend thought it was good also and she lived in South Philly her entire life. If you are in the area, make sure to get yourself a cheesesteak from Big Mike's! He is bringing Philly to Forksville.More
Very disappointed and over priced. Rolls were not fresh, cheese not melted, steak portion was meager, more large uncooked bits of onions than meat. Pass this place by and get the real deal for a third less. My son and I stopped elsewhere afterwards since...we were still hungry and the butter like garlic sauce was a bit over the top to make up for the bland tasting steak meat.More
Big Mike is a disappointment to the City of Philadelphia. He made the worst cheesesteak my dad and I have had in our entire lives. The roll was soggy from grease, the meat was meager and flavorless, the cheese and the sandwich itself was cold...when we got them, and they tried to make up for the lack of flavor by using a garlic sauce that had a terrible after taste. So bad in fact that we had to get food elsewhere so we wouldn’t be reminded of the terrible sandwiches we had. If you have any tastebuds avoid this tourist trap at all costs. I would’ve rather had someone steal $13 from me and eat a pinecone for dinner than coke here againMore
Open Weekend Only I love Mike’s Philly Cheesesteaks but he’s only open on weekends & only thru a window & the lines are long but worth the wait. Not sure why he’s not opening the restaurant & not having breakfast since Covid restrictions are lifted
Cheesesteak with wiz is just amazing. I’m sure all the other things they offer here are good too but for me it the traditional cheesesteak I always get. Hidden knee deep in the middle of nowhere this place has a following. The picture of the...parking lot was taken at 1:00 on a Tuesday. Do yourself a favor and check this place out.More
Hidden Gem!!..... I heard from a friend about some “AWESOME “ cheesesteaks so of course I set off on the 1 hour 30 minute drive to see for myself. I was not disappointed, warm cozy and unbelievably clean. Service was great and fast. The food...was above and beyond, so much that I’m planning another visit to try other menu items. One note tho is that it’s not totally handicap accessible...it can be navigated tho...a few small steps to reach restrooms. Note: they close from December 29 thru March 6. Treat yourself to some awesome food and pay them a visit!More
Haven't been here since Big Mike took over. So glad we finally stopped! We've had cheese steaks in Philly and the cheese steaks at BIG MIKE's definitely compare! My husband insisted we stop after a day of viewing the beautiful foliage in NE PA. So...glad we did!
My husband got the cheese steak (delicious!) and I got a turkey wrap. Both were very good and can't wait to go back next time we are in Sullivan County.More
We stopped here after hiking at Worlds End based o. a friends recommendation. The cheese steaks were phenomenal!!
Wit and witout onions!!! The garbage fries were delicious too!! Highly recommended a stop here!!
Old friends had told us about this place up on the hills of northeastern Pennsylvania northeast of Williamsport, where you could enjoy the best Philly cheesesteak ever. We were up in Syracuse New York heading back to Baltimore, and decided it was time to give...it a test. Many mountain roads lead down to this establishment, in the middle of nowhere - very rural. Very friendly wait staff.
However, we were never disappointed in what we found, as a friendly mountain grocery store/restaurant. Of course, we ordered the Philly cheesesteak, mine with beef and my wife with chicken. We had them put on the “whiz” (for those of you who don’t remember good ‘ole cheese whiz) which makes the cheese steak.
If you’re looking for a fun place to eat with a great CHEES STEAKS you gotta go. Their Have a full menu and serve breakfast. You will not be disappointed after the drive to get there.More
We had an amazing breakfast this Sunday. The staff is super friendly. Despite the restaurant being packed, service was fast. The food was great, The coffee very good.
It has a nice little store if you miss anything while camping in the state park.
It...has a nice pic nic area and a view on the cute river bridgeMore
