TAVERNA 5450, Fairfield

This was our first and last time eating here. Burger was ordered medium and it was practically mooing, salmon salad was just ok, Cole slaw was disgusting.

The Road Less Traveled

Taverna 5450 What’s a Vegan to do? I have been corrupted by the tastiest food, served with unbridled passion. Yes. I have turned away, with momentary lapse. And the menu rewards are great, indeed! Taverna Crab Dip, served with pita wedges, followed by their ever...temperate Greek Salad. While I am off the reservation, I’ve ordered the signature Greek Gyro. Yummy! Hours yet to travel home. And yet, here I am, at the road less traveled. Taverna 5450. Robert Frost would have happiness, indeed, if a poet dined here.More

Server, Danny, was great. Very quick to replenish food and drink. Very sociable. Food was well prepared and just good. Very reasonable prices.

Nice for a Quick Sunday Lunch

We stopped after visiting the Pippin Festival in Fairfield. They had a good selection of lunch items to choose from. The sandwiches we selected were quite good. My friend and I both selected a grilled chicken sandwich, mine had provolone and grilled mushrooms and hers...had pineapple and teriyaki sauce. My spouse had a burger. The side salads were very fresh and tasty . My only issue is that is pretty dark inside so we tried to sit closer to the front of the restaurant where light was coming in from the windows there.More

Convenient option after a day at Liberty

Convenient option after a day at Liberty, but simple orders took a while to get out. Tables and menus were a bit sticky. Not a spotless place, but fairly standard for a bar/restaurant. Service was fine, even in the midst of a weekend dinner crowd...in a small space. Burgers were good. Kids mac and cheese was Velveeta style.More

Lunch in the Country

Had lunch here while out and about in the middle of the week. Food was ok, nothing spectacular. Service was so so. Atmosphere dark and quiet.

An old friend always serves Jim Beam

On my latest foray into personal ethics, I am vetting myself as Vegan. And Taverna 5450 will not let you down. Portabella Mushroom served with spinach marina. Coupled with their infamous Greek Salad (hold the feta). Truly there is not much more to satisfy my...Taverna whim! Let’s not forget the hospitality! Bar tending at the ready and your server is fleet of feet. Taverna 5450 continues to rate highest as my late night destination in search of a super supper.More

We would go to Taverna every weekend but do not anymore. The food is too salty. Years ago it was better!

Wonderful

Taverna 5450 is a wonderful restaurant I have eating at on multiple occasions. The staff is so nice and kind. I have always been impressed with the food and service. My personal favorite foods at Taverna must be the rodeo fries, spicy knight ( named...for the local school the Fairfield knights),and the famous Greek Salad.Taverna has a bar and a wine store for the grown-ups and an amazing kids menu for children.More
