We went there as we had a discounted late anniversary offer from the restaurant. Had shrimp wrapped in bacon for the appetizers and i had a harvest salad which was noted to have yams, apples and dried apricots over a bed of greens with dressing- it was good but there were no apricots to be found. I mentioned this to... More

An historic Inn that still provides an elegant setting of small rooms with fireplaces and candlelight, as well as a contemporary nautical-themed casual room with outside terrace. The food and service is excellent. Prices are reasonable. A full bar and wine list are also available. This is a go-to place for our special occasions. We've had 2 rehearsal dinners and... More

Passed glory. Friendly waiter but I felt sorry for him as he was stuck in the seventies just like the entire place. Smelled very moldy. Had onion soup worst ever and some other unidentified food. With ship as name I would have hoped for some fish but I did not trust it even. Could not wait to get out of... More

Booked a small party here for a group of family members coming from West Chester, Lancaster and Delaware to celebrate my Mother's birthday, it was a great location for us. Booked a private room in the historical side of the restaurant, the event manager was very accommodating to our needs. My group was less than 20 people, therefore I was... More

We went with a large group of people for dinner last Saturday night. We hadn't been to Ship Inn for over ten years but will go again soon. The food was delicious! My scallops with jasmine rice was to die for as was the spinach salad with gorgonzola, etc. Fresh, crusty rolls that were replenished were a nice addition. I... More

My wife and I had our wedding reception here back in 1990. This colonial building has such a cool feel to it! The service in the restaurant area is absolutely incredible. The waiters and waitresses "tag team." They were vigilant and accommodating. The food was tremendous as well. Artistically presented and delicious. Scallops app was delicious. The steak was tender... Food is horrible. Staff is inattentive, amateurish, and unskilled. Except for Keisha. Why she stays, I will never know. By the numbers: 1. Mothers' Day 2016, place is 1/2 full. Should have been a red flag. 2. Server is impatient when we try to take our order of cocktails/beverages. Martini was room temp. Felony. 3. First course took too long... More

Very disappointed, Waaaaayy over priced. The food is ok at best. nothing to write home about. I had the crab cakes. I have had better from the frozen section in the grocery store for a 1/8 of the price. The ambiance is not the best either, very hectic, not soothing at all. Don't waste your money, go elsewhere.

Ship Inn is a quiet, nicely decorated restaurant, particularly amenable to a leisurely lunch. The ambience is lovely, good food and attentive service. We highly recommend it.

On February 2016, I had a family luncheon for my Mom's 90 birthday. I set up the luncheon with the luncheon scheduler for an estimated 25 people. On the event date only 23 people attended. Nonetheless, I had to pay for the 25 meals instead of the 23. When I made the reservation, and during my calls to the event... More
