Overall the food was good but not quite outstanding. Would go back again if the opportunity presents itself!

Food and service were fantastic. It's basically dining on Mars in 2040 but in Exeter. Don't park in the Family Dollar next door, Lots of signs warning of this. Rob Roy was the table favorite!
Excellent Food, Excellent Service, Nice Atmosphere. Although Grico's is only about 45 minutes from our home, we hadn't been there before. Our meals were the best we've had at a restaurant in a long time. My husband had the salmon in lemon/butter sauce and a...side of angel hair pasta - he enjoyed both. My sister-in-law had the lobster and found it to be tender and tasty. I had the crab cake which was the best I've ever had - full of sweet, tender large pieces of crab meat served with a little mild but tasty sauce. The mixed green salad with their house dressing was good - as was the side of rosemary potatoes and green beans almondine. Dessert was the flan which was very nice. The three of us left nothing on our plates and plan to visit again soon.More
Had a great dinner in a private booth and the service was excellent. I recommend the scallops. We are sure to return.
My mother-in-law picked Grico’s for our wedding rehearsal dinner. It was such a cute and festive atmosphere for the occasion. We got Becky’s Wedding Cake for dessert, because how could we not? It was so tasty! Thank you!
Food was delicious. We had a private booth for a romantic night out. We expected privacy. Instead every 5 minutes, one of 3 servers, they were coming in to check on things. As soon as we would set a plate off to the side, there...they were again. They were actually watching for us to set our forks down. Dinner plates weren't off the table for more than 2 minutes and there they were again wanting a desert order. I had to ask for time and privacy. There was nothing intimate about our date night, which was extremely disappointing. We felt very rushed.More
We called the day of and were able to get a reservation on Saturday for 8pm. I called and left a message to see if there were any availabilities and got a call right back. We requested a private booth. It's the perfect place for...a date or just to take people to show them a restaurant with private booths (they are 2 to 6 seater tables in a small private room with a curtain to close the doorway)! No one has those so it's a fun change and good for social distancing. We got there around 7:50pm and were immediately seated. We literally live about a mile away from this fabulous place and would love to go more often. We ordered drinks to have with our appetizers. My boyfriend had a Guinness ($5) and I had the special, which was a white peach sangria ($10). The sangria was really good and wasn't overly sweet, which is how I prefer it. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms ($12) and the eggplant fritti ($9) for appetizers. Both were very good. There was a piece of crab shell in the mushrooms that my boyfriend bit into and the fritti could have used a bit of salt, but there was no salt/pepper at the table. We then ordered a bottle of wine to go with our entrees ($45). The wine if purchased from wine and spirits would go for about $15, but that's to be expected when dining out. My boyfriend ordered the Prince steak (my boyfriend said the steak was good, but not the best) with the pepe sauce ($37 plus $4 for the pepe sauce). I ordered a half portion of the penne with vodka sauce ($8). We both got salads although my half portion didn't come with a salad so my salad was an additional $5. If I had realized I would have gotten the full portion with salad included bc it ended up almost being the same price as the full portion would have been (then I'd also have leftovers). Their vodka sauce is soooo good. I'd say the best in our area. It has the perfect amount of spice in it, which I really enjoy. Their salad is always so tender and delicious. The balsamic dressing is really good. We then had the cheesecake ($7) and apple crisp ($6) for dessert. Both were good, but we could have skipped them. Our server Courtney was great and so was everyone else (hostess, bus boy and the woman who brought our meals out). No one skipped a beat. In all we spent $153 and then left a little over 20% for a tip. We spent almost $200, which was worth it. We left happy and felt like we had a good meal. Grico's is a great place to visit. But we can't go too often due to what we usually spend.More
Love this place. Very nice, romantic atmosphere, especially the private booths. The service is great and the food is exceptional. It is a bit pricey, but worth it. Go there every year to celebrate our anniversary -40 years now! Would recommend this place for any...occasion.More
My husband and i had the best meal 2 nights ago. I honestly don’t remember the last time i left a restaurant feeling like the food was amazing. We sat in a private booth, which was great if you’re looking for a romantic setting. Service...was wonderful, food came out fast and hot. I also asked to have an ingredient left out of my meal, and the chef had no problem accommodating my needs. The food was outstanding. Fresh and high quality without overcharging. Our server was also friendly and knowledgeable and took care of us.More
Use Uber or carpool. Street parking is limited and the parking lot is small. A couple of drinks, a few desserts and seven entries with great service was $400.00; good value for fine food and pleasant atmosphere. The table was ready when we arrived on...a busy Saturday night. Our dining room had maybe four tables. Grico’s also has tables on the upper level, in the bar and private tables. These way- cool private tables are curtained and reminded me of the Old Italian joints in New Jersey. The bar was well stocked and the restrooms clean. Marissa and Arianna were great. My Steak Diane was a generous portion and delicious. NB It was not prepared at the table. Everyone enjoyed the meal-i.e., food, service, atmosphere and attitudes. We were celebrating a recent graduation and job offer. I certainly look forward to returning for another “special dinner”. I suggest asking about table options when you call for a reservation. Enjoy!More
Was there for dinner with my husband. We sat in a private booth. The waitress was very friendly. She was helpful in giving excellent overview of dinners on the menu. The food was very good. It arrived quickly, we weren't waiting long at all.I'd like...to give it 5 stars, but it wasn't quite there. We will definitely return in the future.More
Food is very good and service is great. The private booths make for a nice dining experience. An old and established restaurant that won't disappoint.
First time going since since I was a child (it's probably been about 20 years since my last time at Grico's). It was a Saturday so we called ahead and reserved a table in one of the private rooms for 8:30pm. We arrived around 8:10pm...and were immediately seated. The place was packed. Every table was full and even the bar was full. Definitely a good sign. This place is definitely different. We loved having so much privacy because you know... sometimes you just don't want to be dining super close to someone. They have a lot of these private rooms where they seat 2 or 4 people and the doorway has a thin curtain that is kept closed. The lighting is to your liking.. you can make it very dim or super bright. There is also a call button next to the light incase you need your server. We each ordered a drink to go with our appetizer and then ordered a bottle of wine to go with our dinner. I really liked and appreciated that they have a list specifically for wines that are $25 per bottle. We were given rolls and shared an eggplant appetizer. It was ok.. I prefer my eggplant crispy. For our entrees I had the penne with vodka sauce and my boyfriend had a scallop seasonal dish over pasta. They each came with a side salad. The dressings were very good and our entrees were great. The vodka sauce is more of a tomato base than it is creamy, which I enjoyed. You can also order a half size or full size of that dish. My boyfriend said his scallop entree was perfect. We each had dessert after. I had a warm apple crisp with vanilla ice cream and he had a vanilla cake with fresh berries. The desserts were large and definitely made in house. **I would have given Grico's five stars, but the wall in the room we were in was splattered with so much stuff it was kind of off putting. I hope it's not like that the next time we go. It was the wall right next to us with the sconce and server buzzer. I will attach a photo. Ick.**More
My husband and I were looking for a place with a private/romantic atmosphere and good food. I have not been to this place in years but remembered it had cute private tables. Also, we are not easily impressed by many of the “must go to”...restaurants up and down the valley. We both love to cook and are chefs by heart in our our own kitchen so we usually walk away underwhelmed. Not this time. Anyway, the candle lit private booth was perfect. The food was fantastic. We started with the mushrooms stuffed with crab. OUTSTANDING! Highly recommend the house dressing for salad. I had the smaller steak that was excellent (and so big I gave half to my husband). He went for the Roughy that was light and delicious. Can’t comment on desert because we skipped it. Server Ashley was wonderful and showed up every time we needed her. The bill was average priced. A Hidden Gem in the area but don’t spread the word too much or you won’t be able to get reservations. Five stars to the chef and service.More
A must restaurant for anyone traveling to the Wilkes Barre - Scranton Pa area. Two different salmon dinners got 10 stars out of 5. Liz was very patient taking our orders with spouse allergic to different foods. They have cute private spaces for lovebirds, and...next time we would try the great looking steaks.More
