We called the day of and were able to get a reservation on Saturday for 8pm. I called and left a message to see if there were any availabilities and got a call right back. We requested a private booth. It's the perfect place for...a date or just to take people to show them a restaurant with private booths (they are 2 to 6 seater tables in a small private room with a curtain to close the doorway)! No one has those so it's a fun change and good for social distancing. We got there around 7:50pm and were immediately seated. We literally live about a mile away from this fabulous place and would love to go more often. We ordered drinks to have with our appetizers. My boyfriend had a Guinness ($5) and I had the special, which was a white peach sangria ($10). The sangria was really good and wasn't overly sweet, which is how I prefer it. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms ($12) and the eggplant fritti ($9) for appetizers. Both were very good. There was a piece of crab shell in the mushrooms that my boyfriend bit into and the fritti could have used a bit of salt, but there was no salt/pepper at the table. We then ordered a bottle of wine to go with our entrees ($45). The wine if purchased from wine and spirits would go for about $15, but that's to be expected when dining out. My boyfriend ordered the Prince steak (my boyfriend said the steak was good, but not the best) with the pepe sauce ($37 plus $4 for the pepe sauce). I ordered a half portion of the penne with vodka sauce ($8). We both got salads although my half portion didn't come with a salad so my salad was an additional $5. If I had realized I would have gotten the full portion with salad included bc it ended up almost being the same price as the full portion would have been (then I'd also have leftovers). Their vodka sauce is soooo good. I'd say the best in our area. It has the perfect amount of spice in it, which I really enjoy. Their salad is always so tender and delicious. The balsamic dressing is really good. We then had the cheesecake ($7) and apple crisp ($6) for dessert. Both were good, but we could have skipped them. Our server Courtney was great and so was everyone else (hostess, bus boy and the woman who brought our meals out). No one skipped a beat. In all we spent $153 and then left a little over 20% for a tip. We spent almost $200, which was worth it. We left happy and felt like we had a good meal. Grico's is a great place to visit. But we can't go too often due to what we usually spend.More
