My husband and I dined here when they first opened and we loved it. We went often when we were in the city. But, the past couple of times, we have been disappointed. Last night we ordered the De Mar. It's described as having shrimp....scallops & crab meat. There was shrimp. The "crab meat" was imitation crab meat (fish) and we saw not one scallop. Since we ordered out, we did not get the usual margaritas, but the last time we did, they were very watered down. We each had 2 & were not even slightly buzzed. We won't be back.More

I ordered my food online and I had to wait 30 minutes after the scheduled pick up time for it to be ready. The staff was constantly rude when I asked when it was going to be ready. When I finially got home, I saw...that me order was wrong and the food was cold. The food overall was not good. Will not be going back.More

We ate here with friends for lunch. The food was average at best. Definitely the standard Mexican you can get anywhere, nothing special. The menus were dirty, bathrooms disgusting, and we did not feel very comfortable with the Covid precautions as the servers would take...their mask off as soon as they walked away. When I say "average" that is being generous.More

This is one of the better mexican restaurants available in town. Prices are reasonable and food has always been good.

My sister, a friend, & I all went to have dinner here, on the advise of her wound nurses, once again! We were all raving about the delicious Mexican food! I had my favorite choice, ceviche, as an appetizer! Then I got a huge chili...relleno, that compared to my late husband’s! I had a great, moist rice! The rice was exceptionally good! Many times, rice in a restaurant is not flavorful or moist!! Roxanne is a vegetarian & was pleased! Becky had seafood nachos! She raved about the abundance of the seafood! We had warm chips & salsa, & a few mango , & sangria margaritas, too!!More

My husband and I were traveling and decided to stop for dinner. We were near Erie PA and looked online for a mexican restaurant. El Amigo came up and it had some good reviews and we decided to try it. The chips were cold, tasted...stale and the salsa was very bland. Their house margaritas are nothing special their special margaritas don’t make the mark either. My husband ordered the Micheloca and that was probably the best thing all night. I order fish tacos and I was told they were grilled. They are - a very large fried fish filet stuck in a hard taco shell with cheese and then folded into a soft taco shell and grilled like a quesidilla. Seriously, what the heck?! You get two with fries cooked in old cold oil. They are huge but very strange and not very tasty. My husband ordered the chori pollo. It was just okay. We split a fried ice cream which was mostly canned whipped cream. Nothing was horrible just not very good and in some cases not very authentic. We don’t recommend it.More

That was a lot of food...and it was all quite good. Drinks were not underserved and fresh guacamole made table-side is well worth it. Kind and helpful service all around.
