Pop's Kitchen and Taproom is a story of a father and his sons. After many years in construction we had the opportunity to venture out and start Pop's. Well, we weren't always called Pop's ... we were 'Interstate Market'. Doesn't exactly sound like a place for a burger and a beer, does it? While we've always served great sandwiches and breakfast, our full menu and ability to serve beer came later. More than 21 years in, we've gone through an expansion for more kitchen and seating, added our extensive selection of craft beer, underwent a much-needed name change and built a bar with a dozen taps. Pop is no longer with us and is missed greatly by all who knew him. So every day we do our best…
I ate here a little over two years ago and at that time the food was good but the service was not. They have a huge electronic billboard overlooking the highway that says Best Burgers Period. My wife was hungry for a burger so we...More
Driving up and down 78 a couple of times a month passing the digital "Pop's" sign I always thought that I should stop in and check it out. When I read the sign and it said, "Best burgers, period", I knew I would be checking...More
On a road trip with another couple, I woke up in the backseat to the announcement that we were stopping at Pop’s for lunch. With no idea of what to expect, we are all surprised when we pulled into a gas station. Do not let...More
Was taking care of some business in the area, and looking for a straight up burger, fries, and shake. Google maps took me to Pop's, and I was one happy camper. The place is nondescript, with maybe 10 tables. You order and the counter and...More
In colonial times a stagecoach stop at a tavern meant you watered and rested your horses, got something to eat, ale to drink and sometimes a room for the night. Pops seems like one direct link to those bygone days. You can gas your car,...More
After leaving the nearby shooting this afternoon, I decided to stop in for a cheeseburger and coke. Great typical cheeseburger, chips and Coke...can't really say much other than it was delicious with the right amount of lettuce and tomato in a great bun. I wonder...More
I really enjoyed Pops. Really a neat concept which is a gas station, convenience store, restaurant, and pub. The food was really good, very nice staff, and nice craft tap beer list. Will be back for sure.
We travel past this location on our way to and from NYC. Great stop, ez on/off the highway. Nice beer selection (plus some on tap!). Fun atmosphere (it's a gas station convenience store!). We loved our late lunch. Cooks were super nice and food was...More
Ok for burgers, but TERRIBLE for breakfast. I've given this place a try about 10 times. Every time there is an issue, they either get the order wrong, don't have the order ready, or don't even have it started. The staff is rude and never...More
