Not sure if my review if going to be fair or not, we had a waitress that "just started" and this was what I am going to guess is her first waitressing job. We had a party of six adults go to the Driftwood Saloon for dinner on a Saturday evening. They have outside seating which we really enjoyed. Decent selection of beverages. We wanted to order the fried Haddock but was told that they were out of fish, I will let that pass. So we ordered "whole wings" with ranch dressing, burgers and chicken salads. Was then told that they were out of ranch dressing, I can understand being out of fish but a restaurant being out of ranch dressing??? So our meals came, the wings were wing dings and not whole wings. Yes, I know that there is a wing shortage right now but the waitress should have been made aware of that and she should have relayed that information to us. The guys said the burgers were good. My chicken salad consisted of one type of greens, 2 little pieces of tomato, onion, 4 pieces of very hard breaded chicken that I could not even cut with knife, cheese and some fries (for an extra $2.00). The salad was hardly worth $14 bucks. The waitress forgot two of our appetizers and one extra dressing and we had to flag her down for drink refills a couple of times. They were not terribly busy or understaffed. To be fair I would give them another try if ever in the area again.

Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon of a holiday weekend. Food was good. Boneless wings weren’t the typical kind, these were lightly breaded breast meat chunks. Pretzel was very good with hot cheese dip.

Quick stop

Stopped here for a quick dinner on our way through to Potter County. Lisa our server was awesome. Very friendly. We had the steak and cheese wrap and a buffalo chicken wrap with homemade chips. Food was very good. Had to wait a bit for the food because they were very busy. They have a nice patio you can sit outside to eat also.

Extremely slow and terrible service

I hate to bust up a local place like this, but... Our server was polite and friendly, but a complete zero at her job. Once we finally got to order, the wait time was ridiculous for only a couple tables in the middle of the afternoon. She forgot part of our order until we said something. Could have used some drink refills, but she was preoccupied at the bar. I almost called the restaurant to ask for our check. Absolutely ridiculous to have mashed taters as a side, and then charge me for gravy. Just add it in the price already and stop gouging. The food was prepared very nicely and was very tasty, but paled to the horrible service and the long wait. This place could be really great if they had some servers who actually knew how to do their jobs.

What a gem!

We hit Driftwood in time for a late lunch, for over an hour this was the only place open. The woman in charge at the time greeted us nicely, and was very friendly to a couple people passing through. The place is under remodeling, they just finished the outside deck (covered), which made for a pleasant experience, considering the CV19 times. Food was great, and prices reasonable. Lemonade was a little on the sweet side, but still okay. We enjoyed it enough that we stopped again on the way back through.

Always a great meal!

This weekend was our second trip to the Driftwood Saloon over the last month. We definitely found a great place for a meal in the PA Wilds! My wife and I always start off with the Sausage Smackers as our app. It is grilled medallion sized sweet italian sausage that is basted in a sweet bbq sauce. The app comes in a french fry box and it is perfect for two to three people. Great starter!!! My wife gets the wings there. Let's talk about those - these aren't your normal buffalo wings. Each wing has the flat and drum together! Therefore, an order of 6 wings is actually an order of 12 wings! Thankfully our waitress told us about this first! The wings are HUGE and the kitchen crew know how to cook them perfectly! They have great sauces as well. I am a big fan of their hamburgers. The burgers are true half pound, hand pressed patties. Again, the cook can make a great burger! The atmosphere is nice and relaxing , whether you are on the deck or inside. Seating is usually first come, first served. During busy times, waiting for a table may be a long wait. However, they are definitely the best restaurant in the area. The wait staff are great and helpful. Overall, this is our go to place when we visit!

Great food

This was our second time here We stopped for lunch on a Sunday Nice atmosphere and I thought the food was great We had a Phili cheesesteak and cheese burger The waitress was not the friendliest We will be back in the area in a week and hopefully will try it again

Surprise!

Ate at the DS&G last weekend. Totally surprised by the quality of the food for such a small out-of-the-way location. Hamburger was good! Much better than pre-frozen, pre-formed, piece of rubber I had recently at Tillie's at the Clubhouse, Bedford Springs Resort! Yes! Much better! Only negative was the bland fries and the "ranch" dressing I requested on the side tasted more like mayonnaise.

Wowwwww what a lil gem!!!! Stopped on an outing through the area. Had the Fish dinner and the wings!!!! Everything was FANTASTIC and the servers were very nice and helpful!!! A grand new deck was put on and it was sooo relaxing!

Food was exceptional and came out quick while all tables were busy. Waitress was awesome, prices are very reasonable. Have never been disappointed here since it changed ownership and name a few years ago.

Worst food and absolutely horrible service, we wanted to get wings with bone, waitress told they had no wings, ordered seafood platter to share after the wings appetizer, seafood came first, never got the wings. Waited 20 minutes for the table to be cleared. Sodas came out in a can! Waited probably hour to get our seafood dinner

Friendly Folks, Nice Atmosphere & Good Food

I've been coming to this area of PA to hunt since 1973 and it's really nice to see an establishment like this one out here in the wilds of north central PA. The place is very nice and the food is very good also. You will get a lot to eat, the chicken cheese steak with fries is enough for 2 people. The chili cheeseburger I got was about an inch thick and topped with chili beans, although I like a thinner burger myself. They also have a normal dinner menu if you want more than a sandwich and I heard the haddock was good. The place was hopping on Friday night at supper time but we were waited on promptly and the food arrived on time! This is a very nice country place, the price was right & the people are friendly. Nice stop for lunch

My wife and I spent a beautiful day in the area looking at the Elk in the numerous viewing areas. Found ourselves in Driftwood at lunch time. Found a listing for the Driftwood Tavern so we stopped. Staff was friendly and food was very good. Portions are large. Had a very pleasant lunch. Worth a try if your in the area.
