We have to drive about 20 miles to go to this restaurant so we don't get there as often as we should. But, it's always worth it. We went last evening, we started with the mussels appetizer (in a white wine/garlic sauce), then a cup of their incredible mushroom soup (we bought a quart of it to bring home); I... More

This is one of my favorite restaurants in western Pennsylvania. There are very few items I've tried here that haven't been absolutely delicious. Best soups, salads, and seafood dishes for miles around. The mushroom soup, and the tuna tacos are staples for lunch and the dinner menu is frequently changing with new creations! We usually go for lunch as it's... More

My husband and I went here for dinner on our weekend 'getaway from DC' trip. We made reservations and we were able to sit out on the deck. Very pretty view. It's a BYOB restaurant, which was fine by us. We each ordered an appetizer and an entree. They are famous for their mushroom soup which was fragrant and flavorful... More

For this area this restaurant is too pricey with a limited menu. I planned a trip for 16 people and tried this restaurant beforehand and definitely would not bring my group there.

Stopped here for late lunch after visiting Fallingwater. Food was excellent but not cheap. I had the smoked salmon and it was very good. Others had the fried goat cheese salad and the brisket sandwich. All the items were tasty and well presented. One in our party tried the coconut curry soup. That was good, too. Would visit again,

I was here over Memorial Day weekend of 2016 and had dinner there. The place is rustic inside and has a nice view of the hills, but I'd say it's a tourist trap because the prices are much higher than the food and service warrant, although both were decent, they weren't eighty dollars (one diner, no alcohol) decent.

This is our second visit to Out of the Fire. We are not from the area, but we found them three years ago on our way to Pittsburgh using Trip Advisor. We wanted to stop in again since it was excellent last time. We had the Signature Smoked Salmon Platter and the Jalapeño Salmon Poke. We also shared some french... More

I was very surprised to find such a high quality restaurant in small Donegal, PA. My father and I shared the smoked salmon platter as an appetizer. It was huge and delicious...they smoke their own salmon in house. We also tried the homemade cream of mushroom soup...it was excellent. Service was very good. It's BYOB, but they make sure to... We discovered this restaurant after some hiking around and we can only say that we were not disappointed. Their mushrooms soup is delicious, as well as their homemade hummus and smoked salmon in salad. It's rather expensive, but the quality and the quantity is here and justify the price.

We dined at Out of the Fire cafe numerous times and will very like return as it is always a pleasant experience. I especially enjoy it when the weather permits dining outdoors on the deck where the view of the hills to the east is beautiful. We watched a turtle in the pond below. The service was good, this is... More
