Connor's Grillroom opened to the Back Mountain in 2002. Since then, Chef Paul Matalonis has been serving both quality interpretations of classic dishes and daring new ventures into the uncharted territories of food.

Decorated seasonally Connor's atmosphere is always fresh and elegant. Oak wood, lush booths, and contemporary finishing pieces surround the dining rooms while guests watch the art of cooking as it occurs in the our open-kitchen.

Our restaurant is perfect for all occasions - whether it's for a birthday, shower, anniversary, funeral luncheon, or merely to unwind after work. We are open seven days a week at 4pm, with the option of ordering take-out. Connor's Grillroom is the best place in the Back Mountain to encounter the highest standard of food, beverage, and service.

Great atmosphere, first-rate staff. A bit pricey, but the food is excellent.

We loved the small lamps on each table.... Made for a very cozy intimate feel. Prime steak was grilled perfectly to order. My only small criticism is that I prefer my vegetables cooked a bit more, but they were delicious anyway. The bartender is excellent... Makes a perfect old fashioned. I... read more

No wait when we arrived. Slow service. Salad was good, nothing special. Prime Rib was tough and not hot, seems like it was precooked and then heated, mashed potatoes were OK, veggies ok. My friends has the salmon and theirs was cold as well. The place is beautiful, For the price you would think they would make the food after... More

I love the "small plates." It's just enough to eat after all that delicious warm bread. I had a shrimp cocktail and the salmon entree and both were fresh and delicious. My companion had the crab cake and a salad. Both were terrific.

The cauliflower soup was excellent! and the short plate of Chicken Parmesan was just right. Tasty! Service was very, very good and atmosphere pleasant. Nice wine offerings. I will go back!

Hostess, waitress, bartender friendly, professional. Chicken park small plate ordered by my spouse was excellent. Steak I had was done perfectly. Only complaint: angel hair pasta overcooked, soggy. House wine surprisingly good. It is comparable to the other two excellent same-family-owned restaurants, the Powerhouse (White Haven exit rt 80) and Ovalon (in Hazleton).

I have been to Connor's several times including last evening. This place is always clean and upscale for the area. We were a little disappointed there were no specials on a Sunday evening. Also, they did not have any clams for an appetizer which they told us after we had already ordered. Otherwise, it was a good meal. The salads... More

Nice restaurant with attentive staff. Food is consistent and good . Little pricey but nice break from the chain restaurants. Would defiantly recommend trying.

we were not at all impressed. The duck was rubbery and none of the flavors went together and actually was upsetting to the stomach. The waiter was pleasant until we had to keep reiterating that we were not ordering alcohol and then became very cool and dismissive to us. I am not sure if we will be back.
