Went to the Hangar as a great ending to our car cruise. They had a large patio, which was shaded and nice for social distancing. The only negative, was that even though they knew we were coming and how many, they only had one server...to handle our group of about 25. Hence, it took a long time to get drinks or take our orders and it was a pretty long wait for the food. I had the shrimp tacos, which were good, but could have use more shrimp and other fillings. They were pretty lean. My spouse had the buffalo bacon dog, and it was great for a hot dog.More

Enjoyed a Turkey,Swiss and bacon on a pretzel bun. It was so delicious and lots for the price. Pool table, darts and lots of seating. Service was very good considering we had 16 people.

As my title suggests, I've been coming here for over 20 years, and I've NEVER had a single bad experience. If you have a flight to catch at PIT, this place is close and can't be beat! Their food's good in general, but I'll be...honest - I come here for the wings. Nothing like an order of "full" wings with Hangar Dust to hit the spot! They also have a great beer selection with some dirt cheap Happy Hour specials. They also have a pretty nice pool pit and darts, if that's your thing. See you soon!More

At first when we came in it took a bit for the bartender to come out to take the drink order but she was the only server/bartender there. She did a wonderful job. Ended up having a great beer selection and was a very pleasant...person! We had the hangar burger and the Mediterranean flatbread. Both great options. The burger was huge, with bacon, lettuce, tomato and special sauce. The med was hummus, tomato, onion, spring mix, and olives w balsamic! Yummy! Great bar with a Wisconsin feel add the penguins signs!;)More

We were on our way to Patrick's Pub when we said, "Hey, let's try The Hangar." It was 4:30 for dinner, because we had missed lunch. But even at that time the lot had plenty of cars. I told the wife, "They gotta be here...to get a few drinks; too early for dinner...except for us." I was right. The Hangar has a large bar and a buncha TV's...and the bar had plenty o' customers. I guess they're either the friendliest bar around or the drinks are cheap. The drinks are cheap. Wife had vodka, soda, lime and I had gin, tonic lime. Two each. 12 bucks total. We ordered the large Mexican flatbread to start. Pretty good...four large triangles of Mexican fixins. The bread could have been crisper, but hey, it's a bar. The wife had the fried chicken salad with a side of sweet potato fries. She was unaware that, in the grand tradition of Pittsburgh-area bars, it came with fries already stuffed in the salad. She liked it...her only complaint was that the fries could have been fried more crisply. The sweet potato fries were fantastic. Tuesdays are wing night, so when in Moon, right? I ordered five of the "whole jumbo" wings. Like 10 of your regular split wings. They have a trillion sauces. I asked the server what is the hottest sauce...I have an asbestos mouth, genetically from my mother. She said the Habanero Heat, which took a second place at the last wingfest. (She said their Sweet Buffalo Cajun took a first.) Very good sauce...tangy, not astoundingly hot and lots of it. The jumbo wings...I had five at $1.50 apiece...Wing Night...were comprised of three jumbo legits and two jumbo lites. But very good...nicely fried. When the server asked if we wanted anything else I asked the wife if she wanted any dessert. "Oh, we don't have desserts." So that was that. So four drinks, an entree flatbread, a chicken salad, and five jumbo wings cost 48.67 including tax. You decide whether that's high, low, or just about right. Anyway, The Hangar, if we're ever in the mood for bar food again, will get another visit from us.More

Was invited out to to The Hanger to support a friends live cover band. The environment was fun and very pleasant. Plenty of seating throughout except for the bar area, it was very popular. Plenty of drink specials and music played until 1 am. Did...not try the main meals only had a couple of tasty appetizers.More

My wife and I were in Pittsburgh for the evening waiting for an early flight the next morning. The Hangar was close to our hotel, but it’s located down a dark, windy road. We sat at the bar. Service was good and so was the...beer, but the food wasn’t anything special. We had wings and the pizza logs, both not bad. The butter garlic sauce on the wings was pretty good, but the pizza logs weren’t as crispy as we would have liked them. We also ordered a B-52 dog and really enjoyed that.More

I stopped in for lunch the other day, sat at the bar. Service was prompt and courteous. I ordered a beer and then some food. Everything was good. The only issue I have is that the beers are 14 ounce servings. I thought the standard...was a pint.More

We stopped in for a quick appetizer. The food was good and the menu had plenty of choices. We hadn't been I years and now there's a new owner so it looks like lots of great things going on there now
