My NY Italian family is always looking for good Italian sauce/food. Hard to find a great “gravy”. We have tried several Italian restaurants since we moved here about a year and a half ago (although during COVID) and all have been ok. This was our...first time trying Armstrong’s and I never knew it was there. I must say the gravy was exactly how I like it and the portion size was enormous! What a great find for us! Red sauce is such a personal preference it’s hard to say that the next review won’t give the sauce a mediocre rating. I found this to be a great option for Italian food and will certainly be returning,More

Over time I have had the sausage, pepper, and onions casserole, the buffalo chicken salad, and chicken wings (Buffalo and Cajun). Judging from the sausage, pepper, and onion casserole I would say their pasta is excellent, and they certainly don't skimp on the portion size....Can I eat the whole dish? Sure, but I have to be hungry to do, and I would definitely not be hungry afterward, and I enjoy every bite. The only very minor complaint I would have about the Buffalo Chicken salad is that they don't cut the chicken in to strips... Instead you get what amounts to a half dozen chicken fingers on top of the salad... It's an extra step, but besides that the salad is excellent, and I could only eat half of it, even on an empty stomach... So yeah, you're basically getting two salads for the price, unless you can eat A LOT. As for the chicken wings, well, when it comes to portion you get how many you buy; however, they're less than a buck a wing... which apparently doesn't happen anymore... So, yeah, good price. Also, you like crispy wings like I do? Then, oh yeah, you'll enjoy these. The outside is absolutely and awesomely crunchy, but the meat is fantastically tender and juicy. These are the type of wings that you can clean all the meat off easily. Also, the taste of the buffalo and the cajun are both quite pleasant, also. Those are the only two flavors I have had, but I have no reason to believe that the rest of the flavors wouldn't be just as good.More

No alcohol at all, not even wine. The buffalo wings were ok but the salad I wouldn’t even touch. Veal parmigiana was ok and pasta as well. It was a lot of food and I didn’t even eat half of it. Server was damn attentive...and should get a raise.More

We stopped by for lunch. This place doesn't disappoint. Food was terrific. We ordered salad, chicken parmesan, shrimp, coleslaw, pasta... Plenty for leftovers. Good food, good service. We will definitely return.

I love this place. Always crowded after 6pm. You get large portions at a very reasonable price. The food is delicious too.

We went to Armstrong's after a 10 year hiatus to celebrate a birthday. We quit going awhile ago because the food seemingly went a bit down hill. That said, good food is really hard to find, and this is good food, but it could be...a lot better. Hubby had the linguine with clams and shrimp. It was tasty and there were chunks of clams and 5 small shrimp for $21. The sauce, however, was coagulated and overly thick. Consider thinning it a bit. I had the English style scrod. It was very tasty, although slightly over cooked. I thought there would be bread crumbs on the top, but there were not, at least as far as I could tell. There was some type of tasty spice on top - lots of salt -- but no detectable bread crumbs. My son had wings, and they were very tasty!! My other son ordered the stuffed shrimp and it was likely the best meal on the table. Highly recommend! Atmosphere is kind of like a diner, but I have no problem with that. The prices are very reasonable and the food is good!More

I did not see a private room. I know that you can make reservations. You can bring you own wine to drink. Great food and nice atmosphere. If I were you I would call and inquire about private seating.
