I was in town on business and was looking for Italian. This rates pretty highly so I had a reservation which was virtually needed even though it was a Tuesday. The hostess was very polite and I was seated immediately. The noise level in the...restaurant was pretty high but not an issue for me. Ordered 2 apps to start the burrata and calamari. The calamari was ok, some pieces were quite chewy. Definitely liked the burrata which was portioned on pieces of bread. I went with rigatoni with short rib. A really good dish. I had asked the server to recommend between this and the pappardelle and the rigatoni was recommended. You could tell it was fresh pasta. The sauce was rich due to the short rib meat but not overly. Had a couple glasses a wine with dinner and thought it was really good overall. Would definitely return.More

I had the Tuscan classic dish papardelle pasta with wild boar ragu. First off, it was a legit tradtional ragu, not just a fancy word they put on the menu. The meat essence was rich and forward, and the marinated meat was delightfully tender. Papardelle...is the perfect pasta for absorbing these rich flavors. Well done, lads!More

I went to this restaurant with a group of friends. I order my staple dish with is salmon. I believe the fish had gone bad and told this to the waiter- he told me that this undercooked over flavored dish was perfect and I didn’t...know what I was talking about. Instead of giving me another dish he come back 10 minutes later with another piece of the same total inevitable fish(many of the table tasted and agreed that the fish must have turned. The waiter further insulted me and wrapped it up for me to poison my family. He refused to take this off the check. This is the new IN restaurant. I guess the IN people like bad food and insulting rude waiters.More

We stopped by Bar Lucca for lunch. They have different pasta varieties that you don’t see at other restaurants. Food is delicious! Service is fast and friendly. Definitely a great small neighborhood restaurant to stop by if you’d like Italian food.

I’m writing to give a Big Kudos to the owners and staff of Bar Lucca. Not only is their menu one of the best in the area, but the staff and the owners are the most caring and compassionate in the business. I made a...reservation on behalf of my daughter and her husband for their 2nd wedding anniversary. My daughter’s been battling brain cancer for over 4 years, with the brunt of it impacting their two year marriage. I was hoping they would be able to do something for them to make the night special ( even just a small gesture). After needing to cancel the reservation because my daughter wasn’t feeling up to going out, Alexandra called me to say they would prepare a special takeout meal on them! Not only did they donate the meal, but they added extra appetizers, desserts and a bottle of champagne! During these difficult times when businesses are struggling themselves, this was an unbelievably selfless gesture. We were beyond grateful and very touched. Thank you to the owners Brian and Christina, your friend and ours, Amanda, and Alexandra for your kindness and generosity. Happy, Healthy and Prosperous 2021 to you all. ❤️More

Before the state allowed al fresco dining, my wife and I ordered a tartufo pizza and the Tuscan salad to go. Both were delicious. We look forward to dining inside soon as the restaurant interior is charming, and the staff is wonderful.

We had lunch midweek with friends and enjoyed ourselves very much. The food is not the traditional Southern Italian red sauce and pasta. The chef could do well if Bar Lucca was in center city or on the Main Line. A very creative menu. Try...the soup. And the salads. Prices are low. Service was attentive and prompt. Make a reservation, especially for dinner. Cloth napkins.More

Holiday dinner with colleagues and spouses...did the assaggio tasting menu and wine pairing -$70 pp...great service and very nice wine pairings...guided us thru the menu and additional bottles of wine as the meal progressed...salad and bruschetta, two pastas and a pizza, meat and cheese board,...steak and scallops entree, donut with chocolate filling and pistachio gelato...all were very good - scallops, pizza with prosciutto, pistachio ice cream and pesto pasta were the standouts...eight people, a round of drinks and two nice additional bottles of wine, was $900 including a nice tip...we’re coming back with our neighborhood group...pretty noisy, but that’s because everyone was having a good time...ask for table upstairs...two small bars.More

My wife and I enjoyed a fun Friday evening at Bar Lucca. There is a small bar that looked like a nice place to enjoy a drink. We were lucky we made reservations as the restaurant filled up quickly. We were immediately seated. Our server...explained how folks normally determine how much good to order and shared details on the evening specials. He bar had an ok selection of beer. We ordered the cheese board and a pizza, both were tasty. Our server was great. She was always around, checking on us occasionally without being annoying. The restaurant had a small parking lot. We were fortunate enough to get a spot. I’m not sure how difficult street parking is in the area. They also have a small outdoor area that looks like it would be nice in warmer weather. We will definitely return.More

I have been wanting to try this place for a while since it always gets good reviews so when I had the chance to have lunch there I was happy. It’s a small place with a bar as you walk in and a small dining...room and there are a few tables outside. The lunch menu was limited but had pizza, sandwiches, salads and some specials. I had the special which was a vegetable “pasta” with chicken in an avocado and chopped tomato cream sauce. It was delicious. My companions both had salads which were nice size and tasty. My only complaint is that it gets noisy in there and is tough to talk business. Probably best with some friends and beers!More

Visited on a very busy Friday night, luckily we were able to grab a seat at the packed bar! Our bartenders TJ and Jamie were outstanding and gave us great recommendations. Started off with a basil martini and a local draft beer. Meatballs and salmon...special with mango were delicious. We ended the night with an espresso martini (they freshly brew the espresso) and nutella doughnuts. We will definitely be back!More

Decided to try Bar Lucca out for the first time and they did not disappoint. We stopped by for happy hour and ended up having dinner and everything was amazing. The bartender TJ was phenomenal!!! He was attentive, had great recommendations and even when we...had an issue with our dinner he didn't hesitate to make it right. TJ pretty much sealed the deal for us being repeat customers. He's amazing!!! The Manager John ensured that we left extremely happy and we can't wait to go back!! The light bites offered on the menu during happy hour are delightful. If you like brussel spourts then I recommend you try it here. They did not disappoint!! Oh and the risotto is made with so much love that I didn't want it to end. I will absolutely be back soon!!More

It's covered. I don't know if it's heated. I've dined in the bar side of the restaurant, but it's open to the outside, so I feel completely safe.
