It was our first visit but it had been highly recommended as a BYO which my husband had researched. We went early on Sunday evening and decided on the five course tasting menu. Everything was delicious, well-served and wait staff and hostess were quite attentive and friendly. Others had described it as overpriced with small portions but we disagree. With... More

I really enjoyed our dinner at this BYOB in Conshohocken. It has been quite awhile since my last visit and I am happy to say the experience was still excellent. We shared alot of food starting with the asparagus and the tuna crudo appetizers and then the pork terrine second course. We finished with dinners of the duck and the... More

BYOB, $2 corkage. The food was excellent, but the portions were small for the price. I had snails and grilled tuna, both worth repeating. My wife has tuna crudo and smoked salmon, also very good. The service was excellent, too.

Everything you order has excellent taste and is prepared very well the amous buche spelling is outstanding My issue is this wife ordered the shrimp tasting flavor was great but three courses only came with a total of 5 shrimp I ordered the smoked salmon but for 15 dollars for the app, I thought there could have been more smoked... The service and staff were wonderful, however I did not care for the food. The fish was very fishy and tasted sour. The dish came with two sprigs of asparagus and a half teaspoon size of quinoa which seemed very chintzy. There aren't any side dishes listed on the menu or I would have paid extra for a side. I... For five years my wife and I have made an annual pilgrimage to Blackfish- Chef Roman's first restaurant and its still our favorite. Aaron the white haired old friend was missing today-but Veronica served well in his stead. Its likely our last time at this surprising wonder in the burbs of Philly--and today we opted for the 5 course tasting... More

Had an excellent dinner at Blackfish in Conshohocken last night. Too good to stop for pictures, but we were very pleased with the service and creative cuisine. Atmosphere is minimalist, but that's OK. My wife and I started with Kusshi oysters (served with a dollop of crème fraîche on each of the five.) I had Hiramasa sashimi with thinner-than-paper pickled... More

We wanted to take our son out for a nice dinner before he headed back to Europe so we chose Blackfish because we had such a delicious meal and positive experience on our last visit. My first issue is that on the reservation confirmation call I was asked to make my reservation later than originally requested. Although not happy, I... More

The famed Blackfish disappointed our first time there. The good: complimentary amuse bouche "12 hour" sweet potato with cumin sauce was lovely; short ribs with day scallops/blackened leeks mostly flavorful but teeny tiny for $32.00 - 3 tiny scallops, 5 teeny potatoes and very small portion of short rib. The risotto appetizer was creamy and inspired and the waitress was... More

My wife and I did the Valentine's Day prixe fix dinner on Sunday. Fortunately, we had an early reservation at 6 pm so we did not have to wait for a table - unfortunately the table was next to the front door so every time it opened there was a blast of cold air. It was full contact dining sitting... More
