Fun place, great food, love the old fashioned lunch counter. Would have liked bigger tables, we had to split our party of 6.

My wife and i stopped at Hinkle's while antique hunting in Columbia. We choose to sit at the lunch counter with the old time stools. A great blast form the past, but this place does not depend on nostalgia - the food is really good too. I had a very good hamburger cooked perfectly and my wife had a shifter.... More

This is an old school place. Locals. They have a restaurant, complete with old fashioned swivel chairs. Kinda like a stainless steel diner in an old brick building. Seriously, go there. Everything is home-made. It is delicious. Soups, sandwiches, dinners, daily specials, killer breakfasts, good coffee. A nice vibe.

This place has it all..from shoes to meds to some of the best comfort food served anywhere! Breakfast is a LOT of food for a TINY price. The staff is super friendly and eager to serve your needs. This place takes you back in time a little bit and has been in service of the community for 122 years!

Recommended by a local antique shop and it was great. Old fashion diner style good eats. The Shifter is their classic grilled sandwich that the Penn RR men would grab on their way to work. It's the house specialty. We will make this a regular stop on our twice yearly trips to Penn Dutch area.

My wife and I recently visited Lancaster County and on the advise of the Innkeeper at our B&B, we drove over to Columbia to explore the antique shops and have lunch at Hinkle's Pharmacy Restaurant. After exploring several shops we were ready for lunch. What a neat little business : ). A combo of pharmacy, gift shop and restaurant with... More

We took the girls to Columbia, Pa. for the Turkey Hill Ice Cream experience and had lunch at the "counter" at Hinkle's. A good experience for 11 yr. old and 14 yr. old, as they had never experienced the "eat at the counter" of long ago. Food was average, server was excellent, and the manager explained all about the 123... More

Very informal, causal down home old fashioned counter food. This is a bonafide drug store with all the touristy souvenirs and junk but the food is simple and simply good. Love eating there, reminds me of my childhood eating at the local dime store or Rexall Drug Store.

Great place to stop if you have never been to a small town pharmacy. Food is okay, but the atmosphere is why everyone stops and the locals keep going back. After a visit to Hinkle's there is no need for a local paper!

Hinkles is a great pharmacy with a wonderful restaurant. The breakfast Omlettes are great. The waitresses are friendly and personable and you can tell they have a comraderie with the locals. The pharmacy itself is like an old time store but updated- they have everything from at home medical supplies to chic clothing.
