We are of the "boomer generation" and remember when every town had a pharmacy with a lunch counter. Eating at Hinkle's was a trip down memory lane for us. The menu offers so many choices it's hard to decide what to order. We opted for burgers and they were delicious. Service is very friendly and efficient, and the prices are... More

Being a resident of Lancaster County I've eaten here many times but not recently. So on a recent weekday we stopped in for lunch. Wow - it didn't look like the place had changed in years - the same old cozy place where you always could get good food. My wedge sandwich with a small cup of potato salad was... More

Explored the town of Columbia over the weekend and based on reviews in Tripadvisor, we lunched at Hinkle's Pharmacy. Based on our experience, the other reviews are very much on the mark. What I would add is simply that at one time, there were many places like Hinkle's. Not so much anymore. So finding such a place with an old... More

Got the switcher sandwich and my mom got the Susquehanna salad. I also got macaroni salad which is probably the best I've ever had. You won't be disappointed! Super friendly staff too!

We went to Hinkle's on the recommendation of the woman in the National Watch and Clock Museum. This is a big independent pharmacy with a gift shop and a restaurant. We had lunch there, and it was fairly crowded. Our service was fast, our lunch delicious, and the price was modest. In addition, one worker came and gave us each... More

We celebrated National Burger Day at Hinkle's. It was an old school diner with quick friendly service.

Fun place, great food, love the old fashioned lunch counter. Would have liked bigger tables, we had to split our party of 6.

My wife and i stopped at Hinkle's while antique hunting in Columbia. We choose to sit at the lunch counter with the old time stools. A great blast form the past, but this place does not depend on nostalgia - the food is really good too. I had a very good hamburger cooked perfectly and my wife had a shifter.... More

This is an old school place. Locals. They have a restaurant, complete with old fashioned swivel chairs. Kinda like a stainless steel diner in an old brick building. Seriously, go there. Everything is home-made. It is delicious. Soups, sandwiches, dinners, daily specials, killer breakfasts, good coffee. A nice vibe.

This place has it all..from shoes to meds to some of the best comfort food served anywhere! Breakfast is a LOT of food for a TINY price. The staff is super friendly and eager to serve your needs. This place takes you back in time a little bit and has been in service of the community for 122 years!
