Louisiana Cooking in Central PA

I've been wanting to try Prudhomme's for awhile, and I'm glad we finally did! We had lunch around 12:30 on a Sunday, and there were only two other tables of guests. Within the hour that we were there, 4 more tables filled up. My husband ordered sandwich that was HUGE with a side of onion rings... read more

It had been a couple of years since I went to Prudhomme's, but was reacquainted with this excellent restaurant in December. The food was even better than I remembered (it was always good!) and I will definitely be going back again soon for some more shrimp sunny. Recommended!

I really enjoyed the food, raring to go back and try more of the menu. I started off with the sauteed gator tail. Very tender with lots of garlic, onions and peppers. Far superior to any gator I've had before. Then I had an excellent gumbo. After that I had Catfish Prudhomme. Good to the last bite! It was accompanied... More

I have not been to Prudhomme's for almost 2 years but wanted to go back for some Jambalaya and listen to some live music. Nice crowd at 6:30 pm on a Saturday night. Live music stated at 7 pm with a one man band. I ordered the hush puppies to start, larger than the southern North Carolina type that I... More

My husband and I took my nephew there tonight for his 21st Birthday. Everything was excellent, the food the service. I have learned over the years not to believe the negative reviews, some people just like to complain/ My husband was born in Mississippi and he loved everything. Thank you to everyone who helped make a young man very happy.

I love Cajun food. I ordered the Crawfish Etouffee. No joke, it had 4 crawfish sitting on top of the tomato "stew". Flavor was below average. The place smelled like a dirty wet mop. Expensive for what you get. Not worth the stop.

Delicious fun food and grand people. We have never had such a great time and were treated like royality. You can find a vast array of menu choices and priced from fabulous mussles at the bar to enticing meals you miss from Burbon Street. The hospitality is spectacular and the music is playing all nights of the week. ( closed... More

Our family of four had dinner at Prudhomme's recently; first time we'd been there in several months. The food was excellent, as always. We were disappointed that they were out of crawfish for the crawfish étouffée, one of their signature sides. (How could that happen?) However, they did advise us ahead of time and said that they were substituting baby... More

Having been coming here for years, it's high time I say something. The menu has changed from what my wife has always enjoyed, the fajita. The authentic food still draws us here when we miss our southern comfort food.

Visited on a weeknight with my wife and daughter and found every table empty sans one. Not a great sign to start off. Parking can be a challenge and we found one on the busy street out front. The old hotel/restaurant is steeped in history and a haunted background, whatever. I came for a "Cajun"meal. The bar is right off... More
