Wife and I went for dinner. Based on reviews here, I was looking for something special. I certainly did not get that. It wasn't awful, but also nothing to make me want to go back.

It is a BYOB. The menu is very varied. Even if you are not a sushi fan, there are other good alternatives. I had the BulGoGi (small strips of steak in a flavorable sauce with rice), and it was so good!!!! We had a variety...of appetizers. The Korean BBQ ribs were good, and you can choose how hot you would like them. My friends ordered various combos of sushi and enjoyed it. The service was very friendly. The manager/owner even came around to ask how we were enjoying our dinner! They were very attentive!More

Been to Bonjung with the family about a dozen times and it never fails to please. They have the best rolls in the area and a very good Korean BBQ wrap. Highly recommended!

Again Friday night we were back - we eat from here at least once a month.... the food and friendly service is the reason. They do sushi right - some places have good sushi but its not great - Bonjung has GREAT sushi! Greg the...owner is almost always behind the sushi bar and he and his team treat the fish right... and the servers treat the customers right... There is a reason that an out of the way place in Collegeville (no offense) has been named best of philly for sushi so many times... Eat here, thank me later...More

We've been to Bonjung's many times. The dinner menu is full of choices of all kinds but we always order the Bi Bim Bap Stone Pot. It is absolutely delicious. Make sure to use plenty of the spicy sauce they bring. It's phenomenal. They also...have quite an extensive sushi menu as well. Some of the items we have tried include the Philly Steak Tempura Roll (our favorite), the Last Samurai, the Dynamite Roll and the Collegeville Roll. Dinner always comes with Miso Soup or a salad.More

This is an establishment that my daughter's family really likes. I personally found the food to be good but not outstanding.

Always enjoy Bonjung. Nice relaxing ambiance, tolerable noise level which allows conversation. Sushi is fresh and delicious. Recommend reservations. Truly enjoy.

I was meeting my son and his fiancée for dinner and we were all in the mood for sushi. We decided to try Bonjung and glad we did. The restaurant was surprisingly empty (only 1 other table occupied) when we arrived on a Saturday evening...at 6pm. Our hostess/server was super friendly and had us laughing as soon as we arrived. We ordered our selection of rolls and and of course our wait was not long considering we had the restaurant almost all to ourselves. Our sushi was fresh and delicious and we had an all around enjoyable time. Only one other couple arrived for dinner before we left which again was surprising. We’ll definitely be back to Bonjung!More

This is a family go to place. The sushi is amazing - we get take out whenever we can... Greg does a great job running this place and its menu hasnt changed in years and that includes prices. We used to trek into the city...for the best sushi - we havent done that for 7 or so years now... this is the Best Of Philly winner for a reason.More

Hubby and I went there for our 42nd wedding anniversary and what a delite. We arrived early. so it was nice and quiet. We ordered the tofu appetizer which they forgot about (but did ask us if we wanted it with our meal for no...charge,but we declined). With entrees you get soup or salad,we had the salads which were delicious a yummy not too sweet ginger dressing. Hubby had the hibachi steak that came with some veggies and rice. I had the shrimp tempura with veggies . Both dishes presented beautifully and very good. Took home a doggie bag with fresh rice offered by the manager. Can't wait to come back!More
