Our first time there. We live in Virginia and I have heard so much about it. We took two friends with us. We were seated in a very black room. I believe it was the bar. Very dim lights no table cloth . Server was...very pleasent but the service slow. The onion soup had no onions. The salad was just lettuce no bread or crackers. The imperial crab was not good , The prime rib look like it had been micro waved not like the picture. We won't be backMore

Visiting Chambersburg for only one evening. Hoping for a good meal & good nights rest. The Cooper Kettle really delivered on the good meal. Cute building/former house. Huge bar area, but the multiple dining rooms were smaller and intimate. Friendly hostess and a special thank...you to our server Brandy O. She was friendly, considerate and a real professional who clearly enjoys her job. She made us feel welcomed.... like we were regulars dining with them for years. Food was good (Greek salad was perfectly dresses; special chicken/jasmine rice and a scampi. Dinner companions had the jumbo lump crab, and a prime rib), portions were large. Brought leftover gome for lunch today Delicious! Thank you.More

The prime rib is always good. The rest of the menu is tired with pricing way out of line for the what’s offered. The renovation has left the the dining area feeling very uncomfortable. The lighting is harsh, lots of ambient noise, no privacy, stark....Service is always congenial. Place could be a gem, but misses the mark. Too bad.More

Birthday celebration with my lovely Bunny. The appetizers were so-so, but the prime rib was the best that I can remember... WOW, melts in your mouth with wonderful flavors!

One of my favorite places to eat before they remodeled. First time back and it was extremely disappointing. Food was sub par, could’ve gotten the same steak at TX roadhouse without the high price. Salad tasted like chemicals, as if the lettuce was not washed....Lastly, our table was up against a wall that had an exposed hot pipe running vertically down it. My child kept leaning against the wall as she was sitting beside it. Staff was kind, and we were very happy with our service, disappointed in our meal.More

From Chicago. Glad we made time to stop in. Great food, ambiance and "New Fashioned" will make you a fan. Tammy's service was outstanding. Hope to make it back soon.

To celebrate our 15 years together, my girlfriend and I chose to try the Copper Kettle. After living and working in the area for over eight years, I had never been there. Upon arriving, the newly remodeled interior teased an elegance that unfortunately the kitchen...was unable to fulfill. I can’t fault our server Whitney who provided above par service, nor can I blame the bartender that made our expertly crafted drinks. It tanked the moment we began to receive our food. For an appetizer, we chose the queso dip. To their credit, the flour tortilla points were deep-fried perfectly. Not to their credit was the queso itself. It should have been the star and yet was the nemesis. What we got gave me a flashback to my twenties when 7-Eleven nachos were one of my four food groups. The bowl with the cheese was obviously put under a broiler to brown the top. The result was canned nacho cheese hiding under the crusty exterior. The sad thing is they didn’t even attempt to hide their treachery by, for instance, mixing in some canned chopped chilies and to add insult to injury, it was cold on the bottom. I didn’t burden our server and the travesty continued. I ordered the prime rib which according to the menu was “…hand-rubbed with our own blend of spices and served with au jus.” and what tasted more akin to Montreal steak seasoning and canned au jus. Our sides were a baked potato and the special mac and cheese. I consider myself a foodie and decent cook. I have dozens of times made macaroni and cheese as well as boxed versions. What we received was a travesty to even box versions. It was simply macaroni tossed in some really bad squeeze cheese. It had little-to-no cheese flavor and looked entirely synthetic. With so many great restaurants in Chambersburg, I’m not really sure where they think they’re going to go with this. So much wasted potential.More

We had such a great meal there the end of September & were excited to go back BUT after we are served the scallops, (which were WONDERFUL in September) & I ask the waitress to verify what we ordered, we learned they “changed their menu”....Well I’ll say you sure as heck did! The plates in front of us contained a pile of fake lemon butter sauced linguine with scallops. NOT EVEN IN THE SAME GALAXY as the last time we ordered scallops here-2 months ago. So I echo some other reviews- I don’t mind paying good money for GOOD food but now I just feel ripped off! The “new menu” scallops SUCK! Sure as hell not worth $35+ . We prefer to support local restaurants- this time we’re just left with a bad taste in our mouth. Hell will freeze over before we come back here.More

I was staying the weekend in Chambersburg. Normally I try different restaurants on different nights, but after eating here Friday night, I had to return on Saturday.. Friday night I arrived early. The place was not yet too busy. My server, Brandy, was delightfully welcoming,...competent, and knowledgeable. I had the Chicken Chesapeake, which was delicious, although the sauce was a little too rich for my taste. The vegetable side for the evening was ginger carrots - wonderful! The dessert cake - a many layered vanilla cake with fudge frosting - was moist and delicious. Saturday night I got there at 7 pm p. The staff remembered me from the previous night, which is always nice and is surprisingly unusual. My server, Allison, was just as friendly p, efficient, and knowledgeable. In spite of the fact that the restaurant was packed, she was always attentive. I had the Crab Imperial, which was just perfect. I can't recommend this place too strongly, my experience both nights was outstanding, I will go out of my way to make it a regular stop any time I am traveling along Interstate 81More

The service was terrible the food was just okay but not worth the money. They ran out of everything and we were seated at 6:45 I don’t mind paying $95 for two people but everything needs to be on point if you’re going to charge...that much. We waited an hour for our food after we ordered it. From what I saw you need to request a waiter by the name of Dewey he is top notch.More

Great service. Food was delicious. Had a little spice/heat added to seafood Alfredo. Making the request was not an issue at all. Very nice evening.
