Locally made mead! The product alone is wonderful enough, packaged in bottles with unique labels created by one of their own, but add in the relaxed friendly atmosphere and its an all around win! So many great flavor combinations that it was hard to narrow...it down. The solution was a flight; five generous pours to enjoy. They also have wine, local beers, and soda. They don't have food, but invite you to bring your own food or order from nearby. Hang out, play pinball or grab one of the board games they have available......Just an all around great place!More

I love mead, and the stuff I tried at Apis is up there with the best I've had. The flavors were spot on and well balanced, and they were all dangerously drinkable despite the somewhat high ABVs of the ones I tried. I was there...on a nice, bright sunny day so they had their patio doors open, so the whole place just had a nice vibe to it. Definitely worth a visit if you love mead or think you might.More

Apis recently moved two blocks down the street to a much larger location. A lot more seating is available and they have also added several late model pinball machines! They need to figure out better food options (I'm sure they will in time), and add...some additional lighting inside.More

My husband and I moved to Carnegie last year, and after trying out all the local watering holes, Apis has by far been our favorite! The atmosphere is so laid back and comfortable - they have board games, arcade games, and a lovely outdoor seating...area with a fire pit. They always have fun events going on like stand up comedy nights, live music, and food trucks galore! Every single member of the staff is extremely personable and friendly, and the drink options are fantastic - their mead flavors are unique and always changing, and they have tons of great local beer and wine options too!More

We've tried meads before but not many. We had a flight of dry to sweet meads. They were all pretty good. Meads have a high alcohol percentage. This place is relaxing and dark inside. It's different but we liked it.

I was in Pittsburgh and went by Apis. It was awesome! The mead was light and crisp. Not like the typical thick syrup like meads. There are board games you can play while you try different flights. My friends and I played cards against humanity...and had a great time. You should definitely stop in here and check it outMore

I walked in for the wine and walked out with a bottle of lavender mead. How did that happen? The young man was very knowledgeable and took the time to share about the wonderful world of mead. I like that they use local honey as...they do what they can to support local businesses. My husband and I look forward to returning to further explore this new world of mead.More

This place has a cool vibe, and the staff is super friendly, but most of the meads were too light for me. We did get two bottles though of the more flavorful meads - passion fruit and blueberry. I can't wait to serve the blueberry...mead with blueberry pancakes some Sunday.More

Great little spot in Carnegie with the best bartenders around! Grab food from the neighboring establishments and hang out at Apis and enjoy the various meads they have. A must stop place, you'll go back too!
