What they serve, they serve well. There is nothing bad on the entire menu. This is a place people go out of their way to come to. Not fancy, but worth the trip.

On a sunny October 22, 2015. I stopped in for a late breakfast. The waitress quickly served the scrambled eggbeaters, whole wheat toast, home fries and decaf coffee. Delicious! $4.50. You can't beat the price. I will be back. A Carlisle institution for great food.

I was not terribly excited to try the Hamilton Restaurant; but had friends who wanted to meet here for lunch. First thing is that they accept cash only. Second, I was actually pleasantly surprised. Although it was still greasy diner food (which my husband would have loved), they did have some other great options with a touch of "Greek". I... More

Whenever I visit my mom in Pennsylvania, our first stop is the Hamilton for the Hotchee Dog special, Hotchee dog with a side of coleslaw and fries covered in gravy, it is a cool local joint that has been around for sometime, the owner is always there and all the staff are nice and friendly if I lived here, I... We ate breakfast here several times while staying in Carlisle, and you can't beat it for the price--although the only accept cash so be prepared. It's a local spot, and everyone seems to know each other. If you want great, hearty American meals and a fantastic value, check out the Hamilton.

Very friendly staff, great prices and awesome food! The only down side is its cash only and you have to pay a meter to park. But it's well worth it! Hotchee burgers/dogs rule! And don't forget your gravy fries! (And I usually hate gravy that isn't my moms or mine)

This place is a Carlisle institution and will probably bring a smile to your face. The food, honestly, is just average but being here makes me happy. Hatchee dogs, burgers, and fries are a local favorite and hearing the orders being yelled across the diner is a treat. The waitstaff are always friendly, the prices are good, and the food... More

We ate there on a busy Saturday night. Service was wonderful and fast. Refills were offered quickly. Nothing extravagant on the menu but good down home type food.
