This place is a typical style Food Joint. Menu is simple, doesn't offer much food choices. Beers are plentiful. Food wasn't all that great but it's a nice place to get a bite to eat and some beer with friends.

I had the chicken salad sandwich that was very tasty. I also shared an order of frites (fries) that were delicious. The portions were large and filling. Great spot for lunch.

We moved a friend into Carlisle and finished the day with an excellent Belgian meal at the Café Bruges; I am originally from Belgium and have to say that I can't remember the last time I had such a great steak and fries...with lots of mayonnaise...some incredible Curry ketchup...and of course a yummy Brussels waffle as dessert. We rinsed it... More

Love the raspberry framboise! Burgers are amazing as well as the fries. Many other food and beer choices, too.

Delicious every time! Great selection of Belgium beers. Many of my friends who claim they don't drink beer have now been converted due to their fantastic selection. Their mussels are tasty.

Had an early dinner here yesterday. My husband loves this restaurant! I like it but find the menu a little limited although interesting. The assortment of beers however is FABULOUS! We ordered the fried ham & potato croquettes as an appetizer. They were good but not memorable enough for any of us to order again. I had Moules Frites (steamed... More

We love this restaurant. I go for the food, my husband enjoys the food and the many fine Belgian Beers on draft. I order the Moules Bruges style, mussels steamrd in a white wone shallot broth. We both got the Frites, perfectly cooked (twice) French fries with home made mayo or ketchup or mustard or curry. My husband ordered the... More

Great food, wonderful French fries/frites. Friendly wait staff. Wide and I mean wide selection of Belgian beers and nothing but Belgian beers. Almost too much to eat at one sitting though I gave it my best try.

We don't have many options in Carlisle for Sunday brunch but Cafe Bruges comes through. I had the Eggs Sardou, which are excellent, accompanied by a raspberry lambic beer. I've always liked Cafe Bruges occasionally for lunch and dinner. I say occasionally, because I only enjoy a few menu items so I am not inclined to visit that often. However,... More

Being a Carlisle native, it's always interesting to see new restaurants pop up from time to time. However, when this place popped onto the radar, we should have just kept driving. The steak was not cooked to specs and tasted like rubber (once we finally got our food, but more on that later) and the frites were over cooked and... More
