Drove in from VA to buy a car. Had the kids and said while we are in PA gotta get a Cheesesteak!, local place, read the reviews. Did not disappoint! Havent had many cheesesteaks but these were fabulous. They were a bit busy, but staff...was on it and very friendly. Will for sure be back if in the area. Thanks!More

This was my first time to this restaurant which is in a small strip mall next to the Philadelphia Pretzel Company. The menu is on a classic push in plastic letters and numbers board posted high above the counter. There is ample seating and a...TV is mounted in one corner. My order was a large cheese steak ($6.59), chicken nuggets ($2/6) and a large roast beef sandwich ($6.55). What I Liked: - The cheese steak was not made from a “steak-um” frozen meat wafer and had good flavor. - Although the roast beef was a commercial product, it was not as salty as most. It was rare rather than well done which is my preference. What I Did not Like: - The rolls were tough, so you needed to bite into it and then pull on it - There was very little onion or cheese with the cheese steak. My overall opinion is that they are s level below the heavy hitting cheese steak vendors in the City of Brotherly Love. - Too much “Filthadelphia” sports memorabilia on the walls! Not a fan of any of their teams, especially the obnoxious Eagles fans. A picture of the Liberty Bell works just fine for me. Lol! My overall rating placed this restaurant at #76 of the 150 restaurants I have eaten at in the Carlisle area since February 2019.More

We had the provolone steak sandwiches with fries. It was excellent! Lots of steak and perfectly cooked peppers and onions. We liked it so good on our trip to relatives for Thanksgiving that we stopped again after Thanksgiving on our return home. It was excellent...both times!More

I live two hours from this place. Anytime I get close I stop in for there cheese wiz onions & steak and sauce sandwich. Bonnie makes a great hoagie every time too. There rolls are chewy, fresh. I am going there this week!

We were passing through and saw the reviews on TripAdvisor and had to give it a try. It isn't fancy. Picnic type tables but excellent cheese steaks which is why we went there. Also an excellent value.

This place can make amazing cheesesteaks. At tomes they are just like o es I grew up on in Philly. But unfortunately they can be really bad too. It all depends on who is making them amd how busy they are. If they are busy,...they are like every other place. They make up a whole bunch of steak and then when you order, they just pull it over, heat it up so that it is so dry and throw some cheese on it, never melted. But, if you go on off times, the steak is made frsh, cooked exactly right with the cheese melted throughtout the steak. It is amazing. So they are hit or miss. When it's good, it's really the best in the whole area.More

Ordered original wiz cheesesteak with hoagie peppers, NO JUICE (never before was it GRITTY & BITTER) by the time we realized the issue the trip back would cost more than the BAD original wiz cheesesteak order! Tried calling was not pleasant experience with the girl...that answered, WHY? This place WAS ALWAYS the best in the area, we were shocked at the sliding quality & service! They will get another chance (once we finally speak to the owner) because of the long past great service & food HOWEVER our hope is this disaster was a one off mistake & a bad hire that will be resolved before it ruins what was a great place!More

We go there for lunch quite often. Subs are delicious and you better know what you want when you get to the front of the line. I would not hesitate to take friends and family to this restaurant.

My wife and I have eaten here several times. Each time we are very happy with the food. They are not skimpy, at all and the flavor is as if you were in Philly!

The cheesesteaks here are really good. It’s a little restaurant with sports memorabilia on the walls (philly teams). You will wait in line to order your sandwich but it is worth every minute that you wait!

OK, I grew up in Philly, so when I stop at a place out of Philly offering cheese steaks I'm definitely critical. So when I asked the guy what kind of cheese, he said "White American", I was sold. Has he said Cheese Whiz, I'd...have been out the door. I don't care what they serve at Pat's. The cheese steak was very good and the price very reasonable. Try it, you'll like it.More
