We went because it was close and the What If Hershey was just excellent plus! Had the same meal - Salmon dish and bone-in chop. Service was slow because bartender had to do service bar also (understaffed) and it was not really busy. Food was very slow and chop was overcooked (a disaster with veal or pork). Salmon was just... The What If West is a nice little cafe/bistro in an odd location. Don't let the appearance of the business frontage discourage you visit though, the restaurant is clean and quiet with great service and food. A nice place for a couple to unwind at weeks end and enjoy a drink over diner.

Went there during happy hour. Had drinks and excellent appetizers. We had the Salsa/Guacamole/Black Bean which is served with chips and the bbq pork sliders. Both were very good.

This place is in ab odd location (Next to the Coliseum Amusements), but is very good and has nice atmosphere for dining with freinds. They have a great lunch menu with many yummy selections and combos. We went with 8 people and no reservation. They took us right away and allowed us to sit and converse for a long time... More

Normal skepticism when going to a restaurant in the midstate, but open the doors to this place and you will be very happily drawn into the style and setting from what I describe as " Eclectic 30's, 40's mesh of decor and ambiance. Our professional waiter quickly seated us and offered up our drinks, and made recommendations from the lunch... More

While the drinks there were very good, the service wasn't fantastic. Bartender told me that they were out of a specific kind of liquor and asked what she should use instead. When I suggested a lower shelf alternative (but the same basic type of alcohol) she asked if I was sure. I promised her it would be fine. Then I... More

We're big fans of What If in Hershey and Harrisburg, been to both locations many times. If you are expecting the same quality of food and service, you will be disappointed. We came late on a Saturday night, the place was half empty and still open for two more hours. We were told the staff was backed up and we... More

Wha If West is a great place to go, have a drink, and enjoy their small plates. The crab dip was definitely the very best we've ever had anywhere. The jumbo lump crabmeat is predominate. The sauce was rich and creamy with just the right amount of tender artichoke hearts and spinach. I didn't count them, but there's at least... More

Recently attended a surprise 50th Wedding Anniversary event. It was attended by approximately 50 people. The private room easily accomodated the group, allowed mingling and it was close to the video games area for kids to play who accompanied parents without disturbing those in the party room. The appetizers, buffet meal and desserts were wonderful and only exceeded by the... More

My husband and I joined a few other couples for dinner here. It is inside of the Coliseum, but is surprisingly quiet (until the adjoining doors open!). We had a reservation, and although it was not very crowded, the service was rather slow. My husband ordered from the specials, a pork chop with mashed sweet potatoes and vegetables. I had... More
