I have only been here a few times since they moved from across the street. Their food is really good for a diner type establishment. The staff is wonderful and the value is very good. We don't go out for breakfast much, but this will...be on the top of our list in the area when we do.More
Easy to find at the intersections of RTS 115 & 940 in a shopping plaza next to a state liquor store by an Ahart's grocery store...one stop shopping with gas across the street. Now to the Chat-n-Chew. We were greeted by a friendly server, asked...if we wanted a table or a booth but there are a full high stools right in front of the grill if you want to watch the action of the food being prepped. Right of the bat was a big plus, a huge mug of hot coffee to wrap you hands around and savor. I went with the Country Breakfast with 2 scrambled eggs, home fries, a biscuit topped with a perfectly fried chicken breast-golden brown and crisp, topped with sausage gravy. Very good to the last morsel! My husband went with the creamed chipped beef over a biscuit with home fries that he also enjoyed. It made a good brunch. Service was fast and friendly. Food was top quality and prepared perfectly. $27 may seem like a lot but no if the quality and quantity is there. Try it soon.More
Food is not bad - but lacked fresh ingredients - for example my omelet had canned mushrooms. I am also unhappy that my credit card was billed a 4% fee - which is more than any credit card would charge a merchant. In addition -...the take out clerk asked how much tip I wanted to place on the card - making an assumption that I did not appreciate. I am fully aware that restaurants everywhere need to recover from losses related to covid - but hidden fees seem dishonest. I will not be returning.More
So sorry you were not satisfied. Signage is in place indicating the merchant company charges 3.99% for credit card use which has been in place for over 2 years. It’s always your option to pay cash and avoid the charge. There are ATM s in...More
Went with my family establishment was clean staff very friendly and the food was great. Will definitely return
The omelets are wonderful as are all the breakfast choices. Servers are quick to refill your coffee and the signs on the wall are very funny. Service is super friendly. They do take reservations or you can just walk in or get a curbside pick...up. Reasonable prices.More
We got take out for breakfast and it was okay, not great. The service was good but not worth returning.
Thanks for taking the time to review. We are so sorry you were not satisfied. It’s unfortunate during this unprecedented time but breakfast does not travel well for takeout and we hope you return to dine in.
I remember the old place across the intersection of 993 and 115 but this locale is bright and cheery. Some people say breakfast is easy and can’t be messed up but I disagree. I have had some bad breakfasts but not at Chat N Chew....Not only is the food great (My fave is their veggie omelet). It actually have great flavor, but the best part of the restraint is the informal atmosphere. The waitresses actually remember you name and beverage and let you and your friends ramble a bit with conversation before jumping to your order. Sit and talk is encouraged and great friendships are forged here. The chef, the food quality and quantity and the wonderful owners are all a bonus. We drive from a Jim Thorpe but it’s worth it. Don’t forget to eye your favorite T-Shirt either on a waitress or the rack by the door. They are outrageously funny.More

really down home cooking. Love for breakfast, pancakes so good...Waiters really nice and attentive. Bagels are not so great..
Thanks for the review hope to see you again soon
It's a quick breakfast/lunch establishment. No frills type food. Usually gets very crowded by 10 AM. Lunch before 2 PM can get hot food, usually shut the grill so after 2- you get something cold.
Thanks for the review so glad you enjoyed your visit. Generally our last seating is at 2:30 so if you come in afterwards the grills are usually shut down. Hope to see you again.
Good place to eat, prices are moderate and it was ok not wow!! But yeah not bad and is breakfast more late. Most places have an specific breakfast time. Im a sleeper so we ate breakfast at 1pm. Nice service
Love love love this space. Soups are amazing. Menu is just a bit different than other places with creativity. Lots of coffee selections. Friendly staff. Don’t miss if you are in the area.

Home of the best snarky signs and T-shirts always serves up great breakfasts. In the busy season, they now have pagers for folks waiting for a table. I do like the home fries with onions, so feel free to ask. Their healthy power bowl is...now on the regular menu! Fresh iced tea, nice lunches, nice waitstaff, and super cute bathroom.More
We ate here 2 times during our stay in the Poconos. The food is excellent and the people are friendly! These people really have a sense of humor and its posted all over the walls! Breakfast is my favorite meal and they know how to...make an amazing breakfast!More
