I had the Family lunch option. Good, hearty food, seated at a long table with a number of other tourists provided the opportunity to get to know people from different parts of the world.

We loved the family-style dining, and the opportunity to meet and speak with another family. They'd been here many times before, and gave us great advice on what to choose for dessert, as well as where to shop around the area.

My husband and I ate here using the special package deal offered by the hotel next to the restaurant. Our waitress started by telling us that we would be served family style and that we may be joined by others at our table.Fine with us.It's always nice to talk to fellow travelers.Well as it turned out we were the only... On Labor Day weekend, my family and some relatives spent time near Lancaster. On Saturday, we decided to get take out from Plain & Fancy. We ordered fried chicken, potatoes, French fried (for the kiddos), and noodles. Everything was delicious. Fried chicken, which is not usually my thing, was so tasty. Everyone in our group loved the meal. Take out... More

Do not pass go without some of their fantastic fried chicken!! One of the best fried chicken I've ever had. I absolutely loved it. The corn fritters were great too. Reasonably priced and we had a great waitress.

Not sure why there was such a wait time since there were so many open tables and many servers when we eventually entered. Perhaps the kitchen was a bottleneck. Cleverly, the waiting room for dining is a large gift shop. The fried chicken was good; chicken pot pie (crustless) was cold with oversaturated noodles. Mashed potatoes were light, fluffy and... they have 2 options for dining - ala carte (which means it's just your party ordering from the menu) or family style (which means you would sit at a full table and enjoy a pre planned meal). we dined 'ala carte'. the fried zucchini was delicious and so were the sweet corn fritters. we shared a hot roast beef sandwich... We ate here during our afternoon tour of the Amish countryside utilizing their "SuperSaver" option. It includes a 90 minute bus tour, a 45 minute movie, a tour of the schoolhouse and home, and a voucher for a buggy ride. The food option was either an a la carte choice or the traditional family style buffet. Word of advice...opt for... More

I would recommend to any one. My wife and I love our experience with them. The staff very friendly, the room views are awesome and the pool was excellent. They really met our expectations +++ If you are coming to this area I would really recommend the place.

I won't say every single dish is amazing but the majority will have you craving more! I'm still thinking about their famous chicken. It was fried to perfection, meat was tender and moist. The shoofly pie was amazing as well and I was in love with their lemonade! Sweet tea wasn't too bad but the lemonade was far better. Can't... More
