I visited the restaurant twice within a 24-hour period (dinner followed by lunch the next day) and found the food to be delicious both times. I had the grilled veggie plate, mashed potatoes, & unsweet iced tea for dinner (very filling), and a grilled chicken salad & unsweetened iced tea for lunch. Two items are a must--mashed potatoes & shoofly... More

Great food and gift shop. Staff was super nice and service was quick. It was also a different kind of restaurant. You could sit down with your family like a normal restaurant or you could sit with other families and have dinner together from a smaller menu.

Sit family style tables where you share with others or you can sit at separate table. We choose family style and shared the table with some folks from Wisconsin. Food servings reminded me of Thanksgiving dinners. Tasty and enormous. Definately worth a visit.

We usually check tripadvisor before dining, but this time the kids were hungry and is place was right there, so we just rolled with it. We did the menu option as our picky kids would not make the buffet option worth it. I had the iced raisin bread for an appetizer and made up for it by having the spinach... More

Very popular place. I was there on a Monday evening and there was quite a wait. You have the option of family style tables where you sit with others or you can sit at separate table and order ala carte. My 25-30 minute wait evolved into an hour but I must say the meal I ordered was delicious.

If you select the Amish Feast, you cannot go away hungry. You may need a nap when you get home. The Feast includes salad and breads, multiple meat entrees with a plethora of sides, and dessert with ice cream. Plain & Fancy has been featured on the cable TV show Man vs. Food. Meet people you do not know, become... More

My family and I ate at the Plain & Fancy while in the Amish Country earlier this month. When eating there you have the option of eating their "farm meal" or ordering off their a la carte menu. The "farm meal" is served family style (where your family sits and eats at a long table with other families) and offers... More

We stopped in to grab lunch and to do a little Sunday shopping in the gift shop. The portions were great, and we probably could have split one! Plain and Fancy also offers Sunday carriage rides, and there were lots of folks there enjoying the Amish rides. We didn't take part in that, but we certainly enjoyed the visit there.... More

My family of four enjoyed a delicious "Dutch" dinner here last week. We arrived at approximately 4 p.m. which was fortunate because bus after bus started pulling in while we were leaving. Our food was delicious and we opted to order off of the menus. We just weren't comfortable having a family style meal with strangers. We did have an... More
