Our family of four dined here around 4 pm on a Tuesday night. Our wait time was approximately 15 minutes. We were seated with one other family of 3. Despite having 3 other empty seats at the table, they insisted that we sit all together. I thought dining with another family would be intriguing, but it was a bit awkward... More

This is one of my families favorite place to eat. the roast beef and chicken are the best I have ever eaten. I have been going there since I was a kid and still are going 40 years later with my children. You must stop there to eat!

This is what I'd come to expect of an authentic Amish restaurant - family style with excellent quantity and average quality. Overall, a very good experience.

Thank you for your review. We are pleased that you had a good experience while visiting our restaurant. We do pride ourselves on our made from scratch mashed potatoes, chicken pot pie and our fried chicken, so I am disappointed your found the quality to be average. We certainly hope to see you again in the near future. More

This restaurant has two choices, menu or family style and there is no mixing. Your party has to split up if some want one and others don't. We chose the menu because it had more gluten free options. The food was very good and we had a waitress that made the meal special.

We were in the Bird-in-Hand area last week for our 25th anniversary and had been given a gift certificate that our son purchased on-line from them and had it mailed to our home. We had the letter and the envelope but the company never sent the gift card with it. After waiting close to an hour they finally straightened out... More

We enjoyed the food and the company at this family style sit down dinner. The food was chicken, beef, mashed potatoes, homemade bread, included drinks and dessert.

We visited Plain and Fancy restaurant in July of 2016 with a group of 8. it is conveniently located on the Old Philadelphia Pike in the thick of Amish tourist country. We had a variety of country style food all of which we would describe as average or below. The mashed potatoes taste like the reconstituted variety, the bread rolls... More

At Plain and Fancy you can order off the menu, or have the multi course Amish feast. If you choose the Amish feast, you will be seated at a long table with others and the food is passed around family style. Usually I am not a fan of sitting with strangers but having said that, I have been coming to... More

Good plain cooking, nothing too up market, but very edible. Part of a complex that does Amish experiences, buggy rides a gift shop and food. Prices I suspect are slightly elevated on the basis of it being a tourist site. Not hugely but somewhat.

All that Plain & Fancy have to offer, the restaurant is something we would not recommend. The food was average and there are better locations you can eat at. The service was fine but we won't be going there again.
